Maybe because you face is illuminated by screen light and not by IR sensor.

I'm using it as daily driver. Works perfectly.
Tested both after dirty flash over V10.2.2.0 and after factory reset.

Also, face unlock issue mainly for devices with IR front camera has been resolved for next release.

In that case the phone would be without a notch (which is not a cosmetic part but where cam and sensors lay!)

I wanted to ask: is it normal on xiaomi.eu? I'm asking because previously I was on China dev and miuipro. Hiding notch over there means that area on both sides turns black but statusbar still shows clock and stuff in it.

There are lots of posts about this but here is my 2 line snippet:

adb pull /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom

Replace "encryptable=ice" => "fileencryption=ice". After you flash the ROM, copy it over to /vendor/etc/fstab.qcom. First time, you will have to format data (where you type "yes") and subsequent ROM updates, dirty flash is okay. But, you have to *remember* to copy the fstab.qcom after every ROM flash.

You can flash Magisk after copying the file if you want ROOT.

Btw, you have to copy fstab.qcom before you REBOOT. That's very, very important!

In the newest Version, can I Change the Color of the notifications? I cant see it good because is white in white.
 
In the mi5 the VoiceMatch does not work, When I set it to skip Google Assistant when calling it, it is unchecked
 
It is really important for me to have "ok Google" detection working because I use really often and I don't flash this rom because of this. It would be great if I had feedback from a mi mix 3 owner who has installed this rom. Thanks in advance.

OK Google is not possible on MIX3 until a Global Beta ROM is released.

We are going along with the same issue and same corrective stamp.
I can share with you my useful zip that simplify the process, but I can not send zip file in this forum.
either way, when you are ready for a deep clean you may have a try at what I have done on my MI5 and is still permanent after one month of trials and flashing.

I just posted the instructions of how to encrypt it. I don't copy the file manually and my process of encrypting is pretty simple.

I have my own zip (flash it after ROM) with tons of customization, like remove several MIUI apps + GPS config changes for my region + build.prop updates (volte + region + density) + fstab.qcom changes, etc.
