What is the best recovery to install on Redmi Note 6 Pro in order to install the xiaomi.eu rom?

Is everything OK with Pico on this update? I am on 8.11.29 xiaomi.eu and wondering whether to update or not?

Yes, so far so good, except for apps flickering when closing apps, that's all, minor issue. But other than that, no random crashes and fantastic standby battery consumption. Before going for a sleep, battery was at 70%, woke up 8 hours later still at 70%. I don't know if its a bug, but tested for 2 days and is confirmed that is indeed the rom itself is doing its magic.

So i was finally able to make magisk work. Unfortunately, i can't login to google. Right after the checking info circle animation, the screen turns black and nothing happens.

Did a reboot, same thing. Reboot to recovery, wipe cache and dalvik, issue still there. Wipe cache and data of google app, issue is still there.

Can you suggest anything else?

Go google for Android Webview apk. Please ensure you download the right package for your supporting phone. arm or something like that. I think the mods need to sticky this on the first post to inform people here or else everyone would mistake this as a problem coming from Xiaomi.Eu.

in twrp i cleaned everything i uploaded again, it still does not work. I have to go back to 8.11.29.

Font is ugly and why it is different on some apps and lockscreen? Keypad is different font... Lockscreen is different... Settings is different... Chinese colorful toy! Some icons is look like a cheap Chinese phone...

Try disabling download limiter in Downloads -> Settings by setting it to "Unlimited".

Once again some icons stopped being themed, like Facebook and Whatsapp. The solution is to install the Limitless theme or the MIUI8/MIUI9 from the Theme app.

Nevermind - yes it's because of nova launcher.

But switching back to default miui launcher and then back to nova launcher fixed it!

Yep, wallpaper carousel works only when the default launcher is running in memory (not necessarily set as default, just running).

I fixed it by wiping catches and deleting lockscreen.db files in data/system from recovery.

What "amateurish bold" font are you even referring to? I don't see any bold font on the lock screen.


We use Roboto, which is the Android standard font. MIUI China uses Xiaomi's own Mi Lanting. It's prettier, but it only has English and Chinese characters. Are you still surprised that we had to replace the font with Roboto to support all languages?

"Doesn't work" is a general statement. Elaborate. Which app are you trying to run PiP? Are full-screen gestures enabled?

Had that set from the beginning and nothing. When wifi on play strore works normaly, when mobile data is on "turn on wifi or mobile data you are offline" or smth similar. And yes, I have data plan, 20gb left.
