I don t have 1s, but i do it on redmi 2. It worked for me.

But please 100% check if rom is right for this phone. I was flashed CM rom and no one from miui didn t like to install back to miui. After that it was without problem...

But without effect.
Still no go on Armani Redmi 1 S

If you tried "beta" of course there's a lot of things that need to be improved

Beta is Weekly or Developer.
Otherwise there are stables.
Nougat on Mi5 actually didn't change anything at all.
We'll have to wait for MIUI9 to see real changes.
