Try:
Security - permission - autostart - choose app..
Settings - notifications - app notifications - tap on app you choose all options (no priority)..
If not works
Settings - battery - manage apps - choose app - no restrictions..
Also try to uninstall and reinstall app..

When end flashing phone start to reboot for more than one hour. Because it was too long, i went back to twrp an wipe log and data. Repeat flashing and than it was ok. For now no bugs. Works fine

I think you can, since all it does is boot into twrp eventually. But it is preferred to clean install and you have more control over the process from twrp.

@ingbrzy I have a question regarding my Mi4W. I have miui V 6.5.26 (the latest miui 7 uploaded here). So I have merged partitions already. BUT when android 6 update came I did not use TWRP. I just updated from the updater app using the zip ROM. Can I do the same for miui 8? Or do I need TWRP and bootloader? Sorry I'm not that great with Android and miui I was just always comfortable updating from you guys. Also, since I think I have synced mi account, google and also whatsapp my contacts are all messed up. Meaning I have the same contact several times. What is the best method to backup your data with a mi phone? (contacts, msgs, app data)

I don't know on which version of android 6 you are but from a certain release (6.2.25 to be precise) TWRP is needed to install any rom after that version. But also 6.2.25 installs twrp with the script so it can be that you were never aware of installing twrp yourself since that happened with the 6.2.25 update. In that case you can probably flash miui 8 from updater app (twrp must be installed then otherwise not gonna work). For the contacts I suggest removing all the ones you don't want to remove manually and then just sync with google servers. Never let me down so far when flashing, back-uping etc...

I can confirm that mi5 goes in bootloop after a reboot/shutdown. I managed to boot by wiping cache and art in twrp.

Dirty flash on redmi 3. I'll give feedback. right now i confirm lag in the purification of recent applications, no Mi remote, reading mode seems not working

Just flashed .18. Recent application clear and reading mode fixed. Still no MI remote.

Shutdown alarm not working on mi5 miui 8 eu. I tested 3 times, alarm wont turn on when phone goes off. On miui 8 china dev shutdown alarm worked. Alarm will turn on after phone goes off.

Actually this feature ha been added from MIUI 7 and it's quite stupid because it should be possibile with a one-finger-gesture just like all AOSP roms.

May I suggest the following which will give you the feature your looking for and much more.
Search for xMIUI by SolarWarez.

Works with miui8, on booth kenzo and mi5 and yes you need to be running a different framework, like xposed or wsm.
