From TWRP FAQs:

"Clean install" - change e.g. from A10 or stable to weekly, to e.g. A11 or stable or vice versa.
After wiping everything in booted TWRP, even format data and cache partitions, there's nothing left at all, no residue, which could compromise the installation.
Don't wanna be hairsplitting - I know, we do mean the same! Lets stop here being offtopic, didn't mean to offend you ;-)

I'm running the last stable HMNote8_V12.0.1.0.RCOCNXM_v12-11 which is working good - at least the music lasts playing. Other background apps still get killed too annoying often... you really think it's worth to go back to A10?

I came back, of course it's worth it. At least everything is working properly. It feels like you're using a completely different phone.
This is not about the A10 in general, this specific version works great HMNote8_V12.0.2.0.QCOCNXM_v12-10 STABLE .
I used it until yesterday and returned to the same. That's how the phone should work!

To be honest the only bug I noticed with this release is Google Chrome app.
Sometimes he wants to freeze but it is easily resolved install mozilla firefox and the problem is solved.

Hi, almost everything working great on Mi 10 Ultra. Problems I've found:
- Ambient mode charging progress (always tells 1 minute left, but this one happens versions ago)
- Searching contacts is very slow. I have rebuilt the index and it doesn't improves.
- Spotify status on task bar, even if I exit Spotify, and swipe notification doesn't free task bar space, and later it appears again. Photos attached.

@hellfreezover & @patryn Hello, you can disable sounds of the Updater notifications: Tap & hold on a Updater notification => "More" => Disable the "Allow sound" option.

Did you clear Dalvik and cache, and delete the /data/system/package_cache folder?

haha, actually I use five different browsers and none of them is Google Chrome. Consider to try "your" A10 version, as I think yes all the lagging and RAM background management bullshit started with A11 on the Ginkgo. What about bluetooth/wifi problems - I have some nebulous memories with that? Admins, sorry for being offtopic again - should move this to the RN8 section...

Of course, however the notification still runs and uses resources, it was not like this on the previous updates.
And if u turn if sound, u won't get any notification sound from updater, sometimes j may want to get a notification that there is an update available not only by a floating notification.

On my mi9tpro, usb2go always says that there is a failure and it has to format stick.
But in TWRP and on any other phone those USB sticks work
