I don't think you can flash it with a locked bootloader. If u are using the original Rom that come with the phone u need to unlock. If u are using EU Rom and have a locked bootloader then idk what happened.

Installed on mi8 and everything works perfect, there has been a huge improvement in notifications over the miui 10, they seems to be more smooth and stable, you have to try to understand. The only thing that i don't understand is why the camera doesn't open in the way shown in the beta, but is like the MIUI 10.

i have a question...am i not supposed to get an update notification on the updater app for this stable version sine i have beta 9.9.26?why is it telling me its up to date?
No because yours is a beta version, to install the stable version you have to wipe data and make a clean installation.

@nectons you already got an answer for a question which was completely unnecessary at all.
Besides it was a silly question. The locked bootloader is there to prevent users from flashing roms. OMG.
49% of the questions would not be asked if people would carefully read post #1 and #2 for each rom.
Another 49% would not be asked if people would use the search function, google etc.
It is extremely boring to scroll through all this meaningless discussion for the remaining 2%.
And sometimes it makes it really hard and annoying to help others because some are too lazy or not willing to follow the rules.
And yes, i forgot the battery junkies. The internet is full of tools and tips for sorting out battery issues... Sigh.
I'll try to get some medication. We have to adore the team of developers, testers, supporters, translaters for all their patience and their mercy.

I didn't wipe anything. coming from 10.3.5. stable. Just installed the new 11 together with magisk. worked all like a charm

Do you really need to install magisk if your not going to root your phone?
Magisk help to improve a lot your device with some modules, it depends of your like/use. Not only for root.
