9.9.6 @Mi9 does always kill my background processes. (WhatsApp...)

And if I turn off "wakeup screen" when notifications come in, and edge notifications should be on automaticlly, then it does work.

Playstore did download updates via mobile data, but it was set to wifi only...

Yes, now it does yeah, but when I flashed 9.9.3 it was under android 9 devices, only after rlease 9.9.6 for bootloop fix its under Q. But thanks for wrong respons
 
Does anyone has issues with downloads made with Chrome?
The download is complete but the file can not be opened or find it with file manager.

Hello Mi Friends ,

I am a fanatic user of Apple products and iPhone the last 20 years that impressed from the quality of m20 pro and finnaly replace my xs Max with it :) So I have some questions and will be glad to get answers as a newbie to Miui system . My k20 pro arrived from a good friend in Shenzhen on black carbon color 8gb 256 version , was with China rom and I disappointed on first 10 days until find you here . I unlock official the booloader via xiaomi app and I follow all the steps with fastboot and twrp . I choose stable rom and after installation of rom I install also some no-verity-force encrypt . The big issue that had with stable version was that suddenly YouTube sound and media sound disappeared so I tried again format new installation of 9.8.29 beta and everything seems going well . My question is now why every time that new version comes are ask me go via twrp and install it ? Because are my local space encrypted some how ?

Because of custom recovery (TWRP) and if you're rooted.

Xiaomi does not like you flashing a Global ROM on a China device.
If you do that and relock the bootloader, Xiaomi will usually brick your device.

they have done it so that chinese phones flashed with the global rom are not sold in europe, although what the exporters do now is not to relock the bootloader, i dont quite understand what they expected to happen, its almost worse now because there are many people out there with an unlocked bootloader for no reason

On 9.8.29/9.9.3 and 9.9.6,still have problem with Google location history like on this screenshot :

Anyone could tell if the problem is on Google or Xiaomi side or specific to this rom please?
I have not found any solutions like others there : https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/9-8-22-location-history-mi-9.51994/page-2

If I cannot find any solution, will have to downgrade to Android 9 rom...

So the solution is to live with stable or weekly room from here that for sure working perfectly for me, my only issue is that when comes updates on weekly room always ask me to updated via twrp and always update is huge 2.3gb and not for example update only the new features as a 300mb

I'm back in the 9.8.1, because a have so many applications with problems an I prefer wait for the miui 11 and Q full

Yes, Xiaomi.eu has never had incremental updates, only the full ROMs.

You can update the weekly once a month, for example.

Yep, I stay in the 9.8.1, I will wait for a real changes in the miui, maybe in 1 month more

Any idea, where the latest versions for the MIUI EU Rom for Android 8.x phones are? There are no updates 9.8.6 and updates are now grouped for Android 9 and Android 10 phones. So where is the group for Android 8.x phones?
