MIUI 10 9.8.15

Guys, I updated recovery on Mi 9 to TWRP 37 (supports Android Q encryption), flashed the re-uploaded 9.8.15 and phone boots now only in TWRP, seems no system, no 3 dots loading on Mi logo.

I tried:
1. Revered to TWRP 35 - pushed 9.8.15 trough ADB, still nothing - pushed the first version of 9.8.15


Seems like I need to format data, any other ideas?

Does this come with the xiaomi random wallpaper (in lockscreen) app? I had this on my RN4X and I really liked it, but I just bought a RN7 and wonder if the app is still there as I think I heard something a year ago that it's no longer available with MIUI10?

Hi guys, is there a way to update from 9.8.1 (android 9) to 9.8.15 without loosing data?

Just tried it with a factory new Mi 9 on 9.8.1: updated twrp to 3.3.1-37 and then installed the rom directly in twrp. result: bootloop into twrp.
Then i did a completely data format and installed the rom again. worked.

Works fine in Mi 5s plus.Single Bug is stereo mode in camera,You cant readjust focus.If You switch to developer,you must make wipe data/factory reset.
Also you must update recovery,If you dont have latest.

Given the problem of displaying the status bar in the lockscreen (icons cut at the edges in the other right and left) I returned to version 9.8.10 and everything is displayed correctly except for the number of gigabytes of RAM (5GB instead of 6GB).

in the last releases the battery of the mi max 3 is discharged shortly after its use, it is no longer lasting as before; I noticed this problem from the latest 9.7.x releases.

There a zip called gpay.sqlite.fix.1.7 i use for my mix 3 but can't guarantee it will work for you.

Ps make a backup before just incase.

Any thoughts about reverting quick snap video functionality in the stock camera? It was available 2 weekly releases before and worked well.

I consider it as a safety feature, could be used in sketchy situations where you need video evidence...

Weird thing in my k20 pro - I went to bed having 80% of battery, in the morning something woke me, I check my phone and it's turned off... I boot it and it has 13% of battery. It also restarted by itself like 2 days ago. Anyone else does have random reboots or turn-offs?

Google cam is not supported by this ROM, so if you want to use it, you're on your own. See posts few pages back.

i have always problem with root magisk.. every 2-3 days loosing root and must reboot.. i tryed other previous version of miui but don't change.. the process sometimes was killed for battery optimization.. i don't know how disable this optimization (magisk process is hide)

I've learned to live without magisk because of this. A proper working phone is more important to me than rooting.

In twrp wipe system, all cache, data then install the rom your looking.

After that, I installed the latest firmware version and it worked, system booted
The usual wipe did not work.
As a result, I got a working phone, with a completely cleared memory, now I'm doing bit by bit recovery.
To everyone who plans to upgrade in the near future - I strongly recommend save important data and make backup partitions.
I missed this moment and now is saddened, do not repeat such mistakes

I use WhatsApp, Google photos, signal for sms and a password manager. Speeds up the process of restoring everything.

What future Pie updates for Mi 9? If you mean a Stable ROM, then sure, whenever a new one is released (that is not based on MIUI V10.2)
As for Weekly, there will be no more Android Pie updates for Mi 9...

Same happened to me, had to format data - yes, (all gone) and reflash rom.

Backup your info before doing that, still the TWRP 37 properly decrypts Q storage.
