im experiencing sudden lose of gyroscope. i was playing asphalt 9, then suddenly i cant turn

Just noticed that too. And my main problem is there is no sound at all after a few minutes from rebooting.. thats why i downgrade back to the previous version 9.7.22 on mi9 which is perfectly fine now! Everything works.

is this a stable version? which is the nice one to flash? i just flashed the 9.8.1, but because of the battery drain i need to swtich to another rom.

also i observe that the ram usage is high, in the china rom i have 4 gb free with no apps, in this one its just 3.4 to 3.5gb

Why is free ram a big deal?
If you don't suffer shortage of RAM, why wouldn't the OS keep things in background, to enhance your speed for frequent apps?
And when u need more ram, OS would free it for u, on demand...

No problem seeing 5ghz networks here... 9.8.1beta on Lavender. Are you running on a clean installation or dirty flash??

I only did dirty flash everytime there's an update.

This is beta version. The EU stable version is 10.4 but there is no hide notch feature which bring me back to beta.. seems pretty good to me though..

because they promised more free ram and optimized ram usage

also the free ram i was talking about had no opened apps, meaning almost more than half of the ram was used by the rom

Guys, I've noticed that as well. Kernel (Android OS) is now 1st in the list of draining apps... Lets monitor a bit with GSAM battery/better battery stats and see if we have the same problem. Maybe we will be able to help fix this.

I have problem with touch sensitivity on Mi 9T after installing EU ROM. The phone is badly manageable by touches comparing to original ROM. E.g. I touch the icon to open an app but the screen rolls to side to another page instead. Also, it is often very difficult to choose from items that are in rows, not to mention using check boxes. Looks like all display area is affected and it is very annoying. Anyone else spotting similar degradation in touch control? Is it possible to configure the touch sensitivity somehow?

I did not install "EU ROM" yet on my new Mi9t and I kind of have the same touch issues that you are having, so I don't think it's EU ROM's fault.

Why EU can not be installed on the sms separately sound. Why sound notification and sms are related?

It's already possible... For any app, not just SMS.
Long tap the Messaging app icon -> App info -> Notifications -> Messages -> Sound

I have 2 file manager.

Then uninstall the one that can be uninstalled (the other one can only be disabled).

Hope we get the latest port of messages features like on China beta, it have ( reply | delete | mark as read) on notification.

We can't use the Chinese Messaging app, some features like OTP just won't work. We have to use the Global APK which is older, but eventually will be updated (as a recent Global Stable is released).

Mix 3, just wanted to point out that DND is not working (vibration does turn off but notifications and calls sound don't), also Game Turbo was turned off from most of my games for some reason (not really a problem since I just had to turn them on again manually from settings).

Also live wallpapers stop animating after reboot and the usual PiP bug that's been present since forever.

Dirty flash on Mi9

- Fingerprint animation is not shown on lockscreen, even the phone is picked up.
Have to push the power button once, to light up the screen and then unlock it by fingerprint.

- Google pay didn't work right now.

- Battery drains faster

Flashed back to 9.7.22 - didn't fixed that - and battery drain still remains.

As i wrote in last weekly thread, my wlan (Mi9, global) is extrem frozen after restart the phone and after standby with this rom too.
Battery safe modes and sleep mode are all deactivated. Router is fritz 7590 with last firmware 7.12.

My bluetooth stopped working on my Mi5s. If I enable it says bluetooth disabled.
Reboot didn't help.

I have a feeling though this is just my phone dying, not necessarily a rom issue.
Anyone experiencing the same with mi5s ?

Hi guys! How to fix it? I've updated few days ago but still have notifications every day regarding new version.

It's because the devs updated the same build but with fixes for german language shortly after releasing it. Just ignore it until next time you'll update

Thanks for the release. All seems working fine.

One thing is still weird since a couple of releases: google assistant doesn't give any acoustic feedback anymore. After "okay google" you usually have this beep followed by this assistant voice. This is missing since at least 3 releases. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this?

EDIT: I had to enable the Nova launcher accessibility settings under "Accessibility/More downloaded services". Now I have acoustic google assistant feedback as usual.
Problem fixed!
