Thanks to the team for all the hard work they put into releasing this ROMs every week. This update on my MI 8 SE reduces most of the lag I have faced with previous builds, though not perfect yet as it used to be but it's getting there. I'm also happy to report that the heating problem that used to occur when charging the phone with it's fast charger in previous builds have been solved. Overall great update but it could be better . Thanks guys for all the hard work.

Hi. There's a problem i'm suffering from some time ago... I have a Redmi 5 on a beta ROM from January and a Redmi Note 5 with latest beta.

My settings for both of them is that volume buttons control (by default) ringtone volume, not multimedia volume.

• In Redmi 5, whenever music play, no matter if the app is in second plane, no matter which app is playing the sound, volume buttons control the multimedia volume. MIUI 10.3 beta from January, Android 8.1.
• In Redmi Note 5, volume buttons control multimedia sound ONLY in Music or Videos app. When i play music/videos in other apps, including native Browser, volume buttons control ringtone volume. Latest MIUI 10.4 beta, Android 9.

Correct behaviour is the first one, according my choice in settings: By default volume buttons control ringtone volume, but when a sound is playing from elsewhere, volume buttons should control multimedia volume.

Anyone can test in his phone to say what's happening in his side?

Hi, do you have a problem with MIUI Assistant showing 0 steps performed in MiFit. When I cleaned up the Assistant's memory, now "log in to MiFit" appears. After clicking, MiFit starts, but the Assistant still does not read anything, it still appears "log in to MiFit". The previous version was OK. (MI5)

Since the last release I have the problem that in the lock screen my notifications don't show any information anymore. Only that there is one ore two messages for example. And content is hidden.
I didn't change anything since the last update.
It is set that all messages should be displayed with content
I have a Mi8.
Any Ideas what to do?

Hi guys, need your help urgently. Today I unlocked my MI9 TE without any problem.

Also formatting data no problem. But when I wanted to copy the miui software to internal storage it did not happen. The file could not be copied to the storage.

Well no problem .. time to sort some things out. But then I made the stupid decision to restart my phone in recovery mode while no OS on the phone ..

Now guess what .. my phone is stuck in fastboot mode and I can not start again in recovery mode .. I can not start my phone in any mode because there is nothing on the phone !

I am able to write a twrp image to my phone but when I want to start in recovery mode nothing happens .. back to fastboot mode.

So now I am stuck in fastboot mode and I need help !

Even I have done this many times before; my MI5 Plus, my Mi Pad 4 Plus and my Pocophone all without problem ..

Please guys help me !

The automatic brightness of the display is worse than before. Even turning off the automatic brightness, display is quite dark until it slides brightness bar, but after 20-30 sec. turns dark again to the minimum...

I am running into the exact same issue on my Mi9 SE. I've set the lock screen to show notifications including their contents. Also, the app itself is set to show content on the lock screen.

Yet, the only thing I see is something like "WhatsApp, 1 message".
