Tried both, in recovery and using adaway, but after rebooting none has worked. Cease trying and rolling back to my former backup now.

I got my whyred updated just fine. Apart from a bit of lag the phone works OK except the camera app can't start. Has anyone else experienced this. I select camera and get a full black screen

Which twrp have you used?

Ok guys, I solved my problem. For those who have Whyred, do not update TWRP Whyred Pie before going to Pie. Install the new beta rom to switch to Android 9 (via updater or TWRP), then the update version of TWRP Pie will happen without problem. Basically, the version of TWRP pie only works if a rom Pie already installed

What's the rom?
9.3.25 have issues with fastboot and arb is 4

I get it - new twrp works only with 9.3.28 as it's for pie so to flash pie we use older twrp.

Have you managed to work dynamic shots?

They don't actually show animated / in motion in the gallery, so my assumption is that something else needs to be enabled in the Rom from your / Mi's end.
It worked fine on the China Rom, so yeah

Mi9 - I can give it a try on my Mix 2S with the newest China and EU Roms later as I'm going to be selling that in the near future anyway

after wiping "system" again and re-flased rom again,
AOD Edge notifications seems to work now without to plug-in the power plug to charge the Mi8

but the edge notifications are always "green" no matter which AOD style

edit: seems to work just with every 2nd notification, not with the first

I updated my twrp to 3.2.3-2 and dirty installed this room (coming from 9.3.14). Except for some magisk modules, everything seems to be working fine.

Can i just wipe system, cache/dalvik and then install rom? No data loss? Dont need to do anything more? just flash zip wont work?

Excellent, just note on Mi6 after upgrade there was a strange behaviour on the launcher, until it started to work.
Screen was black with lines flickering for several seconds

Same here. If I press the home button on MI6, I get this screen. When selecting System Launcher, I get flickering screen (flicker to split second background image, once every 5-10 seconds).
Lock/password screen and such are working fine. As is the Google Now Launcher, but I don't like it.

Any fix? Waiting does not help for me...
