I have Nova and all my custom app links on certain widget areas do work as intended, no issues.Hi Folks,
sry to start again with this problem, but:
is here anybody using nova launcher 6.2.3?
i'm trying to find out if it's an nova launcher issue or miui bug.
as you may remember, i can't access an app by using the related widget on homescreen.
for example: i've installed an calender widget with an overview of the next days tasks. by clicking the widgets top-bar the calender app can be opened. since about 3 weeks this doesn't work anymore. another example: the content of the widget for train-departures can be reloaded by clicking a widget-button. by clicking it's top-bar it normally leads to the timetable enquiry. That also doesn't work.
So you can interact with the widget, but no more change to the app.
to find a solution, but also not to hurry (i want to prevent an useless reset of my phone) i'm searching for a solution or explanation. maybe my problem is nova-launcher-related? i'm not sure, if it has already worked with miui11/android10 and nova launcher in the past.
So you mean, clicking the current time opens alarmclock or similar, clicking weather starts your weather app?I have Nova and all my custom app links on certain widget areas do work as intended, no issues.
The areas marked do open different apps.

I installed Nova Launcher just to test this out. I have to enable the Display Pop-up windows for the widget to open its corresponding app. If it is disabled, the widget wont do anything. So you mean, clicking the current time opens alarmclock or similar, clicking weather starts your weather app?
In my case:

Touching de Accu widget should open energy-settings/accu details,
Touching one of the + in calender widget should open calender app to create a new entry (touching the date should open the app), touching the data consumption should open the app for more details. There are more examples, but i guess, you can Figure out, what i mean.
I've already tried to reset nova launcher by delete all data (haven't deinstalled yet, but what i did should be almost the same), so i thought of an miui issue.
=(

Glad to be of help.THANK YOU!!!!
i've never thought that this could be the reason!
all other options were enabled except this one.
now it works.
Yes, this is a poorly named option, given the impact that it actually has. It really should be defaulted to Enabled, rather than Disabled.THANK YOU!!!!
I never thought this could be the solution, as the option is called.
maybe the translation into german isn't really correct here. because actually it's not a pop up, but a normal start of an app.

now it works.
