THIS IS AN ENGLISH SPEAKING FORUM

Sure, They can. but, it is not an excuse, you have to understand that this language is poorly translatable (google).
I daily deal with them (Vietnamese people) and after 2 translations the meaning track is fully lost.
But they can go with private discussion once they get in touch. it Will be better.

The SIM used tells it what networks to look for.

This whole things just a placebo.

That is not the normal course of events, but 3GPP makes allowance for the SIM and "default networks" to be read if required.

The correct sequence is that the "available networks" data to be read firstly from the "last network used" memory location, then the SIM, and finally from the "default networks", which is what this topic is about.

If there is a "bug" in the Baseband, it may well be reading always from the "default networks" list, rather than the "last used" or SIM network list.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not how it works on the MI8. I was in Barcelona over nye and network mode was set to LTE/WCDMA the entire time....and when I went indoors or some place without 4g/3g reception I lost network access.

If it was just all configured by the SIM card shouldn't 2g fallback have worked ?

Were you "roaming" in Barcelona (non-Spanish network SIM)? In the case of network roaming, the SIM settings are never used.

The 3GPP "expected behaviour" considers that you would never have network roaming without the UE having been registered somewhere else, therefore the UE would have "last used network" in the memory location.

I checked my MiMix2 last night, it has the LTE/TSCDMA/UMTS setting, and the UE Capability Information message shows the LTE, UMTS and GSM carriers, as expected.
There is no reference to TSCDMA in this message.

"Additional Settings/Backup & Reset/Network settings reset"

I tried it on my Max1 Prime helium.

It did reset all my wifi passwords and saved wifi networks, but not any of my settings.

The mobile connection was not noticeably interrupted, none of my settings seem to have been reset(?).

I didn't notice anything else just as I did it, but there appeared 4 files "ramdump_modem . . ." in the folder ramdump.

These might have what you need, I found no "TD-SCDMA" so far, but well "CDMA" in a lot of strings, with registering and unregistering of various "handlers", testing, etc.

The "CDMA" is not unexpected, as in one Base-station equipment vendor, there are default parameters for inter-RAT handovers for "CDMA", so since these have probably been broadcast to your device at some time, the device would have retained CDMA as a valid network configuration.

It will not mean it is trying to camp or handover to CDMA.

I had only a Swedish sim card in the Max1, roaming in Latvia.

All the mobile data settings ended up as before, including APN, och LTE/TSCDMA/UMTS.

Fairly early in the log file it had identified my operator, so if it did do a "factory reset" equivalent, it must have taken something from the sim card?

translated with Google: in this latest version (xiaomi.eu_multi_MIMix2S_9.1.3_v10-9.zip) I have detected errors in the calendar and themes, issues are running all the time, even if you deactivate it, and the calendar appears almost always empty, I did not manage to synchronize, I have returned to the version of last week.

Mhm ok, yeah I was roaming and using my Austrian simcard.

Another thing to test then if 2G fallback is working in my home network when network mode is set to LTE/WCDMA. :)

[Cita = "ERLKING, post: 465788, miembros: 223226"] Confirmo también, MI 8 SE trabaja bien con TWRP 1227. [/QUOTE]
¿Dónde descargar TWRP 1227?

HI to everyone. First of nothing thank you for all your work on this roms. I love them.

Well, i have a Redmi Note 4x and Mi Pad 4, with this update now I can disabled system apps on smartphone, but that option doesn't works on Mi Pad 4, are you going to add on future?

Thanks again and sorry for my bad English.
This rom work *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* on your note 4x?

OK there's definitely something ****ed in the MI 8 baseband.

Try setting your network mode to "td-scdma only".
In theory the phone should just fall back to a working 3g connection.

My redmi note 4x does indeed immediately fall back to 3g and stay on 3g when network mode is set to td-scdma only.

My MI 8 on the other hand will just loose connection. Appears to keep searching for a network that doesn't exist.

I bet your mi mix 2s will also fall back to 3g...

On my Mix2, when both SIM's (or more precisely TxRx1 and TxRx2) are configured for TD-SCDMA, they both lose service.
Interestingly, then when I opened Network Signal Guru, it was also set to TD-SCDMA, and also failed to show any activity.

Hi Guys,

Sorry if i posted it here but I cant seem to install TWRP on 8.12.13 on a Redmi 6A codename cactus. I have successfully unlocked my device after waiting 15 days and when i tried installing twrp via fastboot on cmd it was successfully being written. But when i boot it, it doesnt boot from twrp but always boot normally. Has anything changed on Redmi 6A? I tried the last 3 versions of TWRP for my device but they always end up the same, which is booting normally after issuing this commands from console.

D:\Downloads>fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Sending 'recovery' (16982 KB) OKAY [ 0.635s]
Writing 'recovery' OKAY [ 0.221s]
Finished. Total time: 0.856s

D:\Downloads>fastboot boot twrp.img
Downloading 'boot.img' OKAY [ 0.546s]
booting OKAY [ 0.063s]
Finished. Total time: 0.617s

Is there anything i have done wrong? My phone status is already unlocked from Developer Options.

Please help. This is the first time that I have encountered this thing, I have been using xioami.eu on my other devices, i.e, (Redmi 2, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 4X, and Redmi Note 5 whyred) but this is the first time that I havent had any success booting TWRP from my device.

I would really appreciate any help I could from you guys!

Thank you very much in advance.

Allan Guintu

Everything back to normal on Minote 3, after the last update of Lucky patcher, root can be edited.
