It is disabled, never was enabled (I hate it.. never worked correctly for me).
In Settings/Battery and performance/Scenes/ I have no menu item like "Non-interactive mode", I have only Sleep mode. In both 8.8.2 and 8.8.9 it was enabled and D2TW works in 8.8.2 but does not work in 8.8.9.

I need some help please , to fix the gps problem , all I need to do is copying the gps.config to /vendor/etc/ ? The only things I could find there is a folder called lib64 and 2 files called compatibility_matrix and manifest.xml .Copy gps.conf to anywhere. Boot to TWRP, copy gps.conf to /etc, done.
No root needed.
If you have root you don't need to go via TWRP of course.
Update: Ive just copied the gps.config to the vendor folder. Maps is showing me high accuracy the whole time, I hope it works better now Thanks to the members and especially to the developers !

Just installed Xiaomi.eu rom on my MI8, but at start why i can't restore google backup?
It just ask me to restore from MiCloud, this is normal?
I got the "google restore" option on the global stable, not on the xiaomi.eu rom.
Maybe because the xiaomi.eu rom is based on the china ROM, the google restore option is not implemented.
But the build in xiaomi backup and restore process is also working very well and worked perfectly for me every time

bad for me...i don't use micloud....
but i'm triyng to restore from google with adb and bmgr
(firts is mandatory to enable google backup on the phone, so the account is bounded)

I am writing since I have flashed this ROM for MI 8 SE and I am experiencing the following issue: the screen does not rotate and the accelarator seems to not work at all. I have tried to perform the tests within the phone, but no results showed. Is this a known issue?

It's the first time I'm hearing about this. I'd advice a clean flash as there's nothing we can do with that information.
Thanks a lot for the prompt reply, I found out it was the Persist.img that hadn't been flashed correctly, following the indications of these users I solved the issue, now it is working fine. I gues you had a shop rom installed before and did not do a "format data" in twrp before flashing this ROM?
@ADMINS: maybe it would be good to adapt the description above and add "do a format data before first installation" as many users seem to have this as a cause for issues
