Mi 8 SE doesn't had SD card. Which TWRP you use for passing the description password? Since very long time, my Redmi 5 TWRP cannot mount to internal storage. I have to copy new ROM to SD card to dirty flash on the current ROM. I saw many similar questions about TWRP pass.

For RN5plus, vince, I:
- copy new rom in external sd memory
- reboot in recovery mode by MIUI updater (to start twrp)
- grant the memory modifications
- install new rom (selecting in external sd storage new rom zip file)
- wipe Dalvik
- reboot

Still cant download the rom via OTA

An user said it will be available this evening but still nothing
I know it says that its available usually Saturday but normally i have it friday

My bugs
1- Using the default theme I still have problems with the Playstore type notification icons

I think there are problems with the new notifications options,
Using style android notifications and
Use the app icons for notifications
Do not always work well there are several apps that do not have the right icon..
guys for me it looks very important!

Were you able to update it via OTA? or did u flash it?
Cause i cant update it via OTA so far.

same error mi8SE Constant bootloop into fastboot, and you can not get the twrp by adb fastboot boot twrp.img does not restart the twrp,

Update it already solve it, miflah with rom dev china and save data option, then by adb meter twrp and put Eu rom with dalvik and cache, keep app and data

Thanks. Looks like this release finally fixed the issue with certain dark themes which caused a gray and flickering AOD.

Switched on hotspot is invisible/ does not work. At 2.4 Ghz and 5GHz frequency.
No matter whether Bluetooth is on or off.

I did not wait for the update. Downloaded from the link and updated manually by TWRP

Xiaomi MI8SE bootloop after latest update

Guys...just like other guys on this board my MI8 SE is broken after the latest .27 update. I know this all the firmware (weekly) is experimental and try at your own risk but this i really bad. Can we figure out what to do so it's hopefully not necessary to do a full recovery. What I tried:

- Download the latest (and all other) TWRP version and install it trough USB cable with Fastboot.

This is resulting in the same issue over and over again. TWRP will not boot and the phone will always start in the FASTBOOT screen. Pressing up or down key had no effect during boot.

- fastboot boot recovery.img

This doesn't do anything and generates error message --> Failed to load/authenticate boot image: load error

So, is there anyone that found a solution for now and save us all some work and googling.

Working flawlessly on Mi 8, fast and smooth like a butter.
The only bug that I still experience is the "Double check for the gesture".
Double slide doesn't work on games, accidentally slide once from the bottom screen will triggered home.
