Hi,

I am trying to flash twrp 1227 to MI8SE. Have tried flash through fastboot and recovery, but it always hang at Mi logo when reboot after flashing.

can I flash the 1227 eu rom with twrp 1217?

I downloaded 3.2.3-0 dipper (also tried with sirius and perseus), installed with commands:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img
Mi8 reboots, starts entering twrp and then get stuck. For hours.

I tried disconnecting usb, rebooting, using differents usb ports etc but it didn't help.

What else can I do?

So you can't into twrp or the ROM won't boot?

I think, recovery img file is too big (65mb).
Previous img file was 25mb.

on poco, if I want to setup the faceunlock, I jump directly to the lock screen. Lock screen password is enable (pattern)
No problems on versions before

Sphinx 2.3 Kernel was released for Mi8,
works perfect with 8.12.27

And I want an Audi R8 lol... Those are all the icons Xiaomi offers. Ask them for more.
That been said, we added more icons for our next release (like: Snapchat, Tapatalk, Telegram, Instagram and Hangouts). We'll add more major apps ourselves, but yeah, the ones Xiaomi included are minimal.

A mod to use default app icons for 3rd party apps will be good, like me some ppl dont like em, on system apps its acceptable but not for 3rd apps.. thank you

i have a strange bug when turn on wifi.. my router crashes internet... when turn off my router go to ok !!!

Then don't use MIUI. I can't see why you're trying to "fight" against MIUI aesthetics when you can use AOSP-based ROM.

On mi5s masive battery drain. I flash it via TWRP like usually. I have clean dalvik and cache several times but still the same. I barely get through the day, with previous versions I can get easy 2 or 3 days.

I did. I also tried other sim cards with the same effect. Mobile transmission is sometimes present for about a minute after restarting the phone but its speed is very low. I have also received several e-mail notifications even though there is no apparent internet connection. I try every weekly ROM version with the same effect

I am using my MI6 with mobile data daily.

I am sorry if this Is dumb question, but i cant seem to find Mi5 in downloads. In settings i have model: Mi5.. or was the "normal" Mi5 renamed to Mi5X or Mi5c or Mi5S? Thanks for response.

But battery seems to be good for me.

Propbably, someone already mentioned it, my MI6's battery drains a lot, 10% in one hour while it is on the desk in standby.

I used to have this on previous builds, now it is great for me.more than 30 hours on a single charge.

Mobile data transmission doesn't work on any of 8.12.x ROMs on my Mi6. There is no such problem with earlier versions (I have downgraded to 8.11.29)

Works fine here...
Did u try to install official global beta and see?
I would try it, then flash EU on top with no clearing of data....
Maybe it is related to area changed?

On XDA he says that magisk is needed. Do you know why? I don't have magisk and it worked.

Maybe it is from an older version ? (Magisk Modul)
2.3 is a twrp patch for Mi8
