Ambient mode still nog working on MI8 (standard). The moment it activates a White screen appears and the phone needs to be rebooted to get a working screen avain

lol you´re right.. after the second reboot it does not work anymore, just a white screen.

maybe thats the reason on the official thread:

• 2. The update is suspended for Mi 6, Mi MIX 2S and Mi 8 for testing system stability.

Moreover - reverting back to 8.11.1 doesn't help - need to switch off AOD in settings permanently

I Found a solution - set stock theme - seems that's a problem with custom themes

8.11.1 initially introduced this bug.... So going back doesn't help.

I would like to know if I flash this ROM through TWRP, will firmware for modem will be updated too?
Or do I have to flash a EN rom through mi Flash then flash EU rom?

yes AOD problems are theme related,
default, classic , rhodium works, or superwitchis Revenant works too.

I have this after unlock and turn off mi8. Only between 7pm and 7am. After between 7,30 am to 6,30pm i dnot have this issue xd
I wipe all, clean instal miui 8.11.1 and now 8.11.8 and i have flash screen only on night.
