Update via updater app or via TWRP have the same result. No need any wipe for general weekly updates...

Successfully update my "Kenzo" today, surprise the security version was not updated.
Plus using a Custom Kernel disables reading mode, so don't get the benefit of the update. Something I don't use anyway.

actually the music app is different, has nothing to do with the one in the official rom

Drastic measure of wiping data, just to resolve a bug introduced with the roms. Don't understand why wiping data resolves a bug with the boot partition. Flashing Radon resolves the bug. Is there some file in data that can be deleted to solve this?

Are you sure? Aren't we just using Mi Music app that gets installed with the rom.
