Do a clean install.

Advance wipe all except micro sd.,
Go back and format data.,
Install hmnote2, after installation, wipe cache/dalvik, if it prompts you to install root, don't.
Reboot system.

Setup miui8 completely first.

Install root via twrp, don't wipe after instal, reboot system.

It should work. Wait for a bit like 5-10mins.

6.6.23 Mi note: everything ok, i have only one problem with lockscreen carousel: there is onyone category (default) and it doesn't work, like in the 6.6.16. Anyone have the same problem??

i was able to enable now on tap on my mi4w but it doesen't work... every time i tap and hold the home button google now pops up :/

Is anyone having problems with fingerprint unlock? Before the update I had 2 fingerprints added to unlock my phone. After the update they're not working, and I can't even add a new one, it's not detecting anything.
I'm on a Redmi Note 3 (hennesy).

Forget it. I deleted the two fingerprints, rebooted and then I try to add them again and it worked. I've been updating my phone since MIUI7 and this never happened before. Glad it worked after all.

I have installed twrp 3.0 Gemini. I have to install new other latest version to update this miui v8.?
I have installed rom 7.2.13 stable from xiaomi.eu, I have to wipe data before update to 6.6.23?

Updating with TWRP is better. You don't have to wipe nothing expect dalvik.

• Mi Video, Mi Music, Mi Radio, Mi Browser: No any useless Chinese content

When you swipe left after opening browser there are some chinese characters. Also portuguese translation has a lot of thinks still in english

hwne you install first Miui 8 rom Hermes it is important to wipe all.
Then I can update from Update app.
A Bit Battery drain.
This rom is very Good

installed the HMNote2 rom and it works, but no root!! So installed SuperSU 2.74 in TWRP..... but......after rebooting the only thing I see is the MI screen with the three dots moving!! For 30 minutes now!!!

Can anybody help me and has a suggestion??

the fact that you stuck on mi logo has nothing to do whit the installation of SuperSu

Hi, I've just flashed this over the 6.6.18 version of the room on my mi5, and it's working fine. However, when I try and flash the system mode version on supersu, it won't boot. Didn't have this problem on the previous version on 8. Had it changed from permissive to enforcing selinux maybe?
