EsExplorer can't enable the root , it says system not rooted ?
it should be rooted by defautlt
 
Hi. I just started using english version of MIUI for xiaomi mi1s cuz of small system partition and i found 2 problems:
- There is not video app. I cant watch any movies on my mi1s . Even if I record some video I cant watch it. It says there is no app
- When I start Cleaner in Security Panel there is FC. Says: Unfortunatly ,Settings has stopped.

Can somebody help mi with this?

@jpenzo I tried your method buts still lose root perms,maybe I miss something, but install supersu from twrp like sir @ingbrzy said did the trick,it's rooted now,need to update the superuser after install it from twrp though,but it's worked

@Chivyboy yes,I'm using twrp now,thanks and mine is also work like charm too,except adding events in calendar still crash,but not needed it anyway

@Rubén Reina mine is work well,home button,browser,lock screen..have you try clean install from twrp?

sir @ingbrzy great works sir,I hope it will be perfect soon,by the way any info when xiaomi mi2s will get miui's kitkat sir?will it be kitkat for mi2s?
did theme app and security app will permanently removed from miui kitkat or it just not compatible yet?enabling root permission from security app is a lot easier,and miui themes is also great :D
one stupid question sir,who's that cute little girl at the lock screen ring?can I change it with my own?I wish my mi2s can have this lockscreen..cool..:D

When i set Polish language.. i get endless FC (com.android.systemui has been stopped), it works only with English language.
Also Google Keyboard endless FC. (when i flash gapps)
Is this known issue?

I tried to install it with TWRP 2.6.3.1 and 2.7.0.0, also fix permissions in recovery but nothing helps.

Polish lang is still under heavy development.. sorry it will take some time to fix it...
Keyboard works fine with our gapps..

yes you are right, this ROM actually lost the root , i don't know if that is due to the mulitlanguage
it was OK on the Original CHINA only Ingbrzy can confirm this point,

that 's why i put in the tutorial no need to install SuperSu
but actually this is the action to do : install it from Twrp + update it from playstore
 
is it only on my phone (mi3 wcdma) or does anyone else have that the "big caller pic"-feature doesn't work anymore and always the small picture is shown it the small square on the left top when you're receiving a phone call?

and the Theme chooser is chinese again. was english in the last week's release.
 
I just flashed the ROM from this thread.. Now i want to revert back to original one from http://en.miui.com/getrom-101.html

But when i try to flash using updater it gives me error.. I have attached the error log screenshot..

How do i revert back to other ROM? Do i have to flash it from recovery and clear and wipe everything?

because you have downloaded Mi3 tegra version
 
what i need to know is that i marked it...
it seems like an programming error as it only was with miui not the stock
 
Here the problem for these update. When I want to send sms no key available to send it with sim 1 or sim 2.

Is the English ROM of Xiaomi MI3 WCDMA support OTA and is it also through the ridiculously slow china servers?

Yes, it is normal. It was a long download, but at the end all was great...
