I want just tell everything works well with UMI and xiaomi.eu 21.8.11.
- I'm not using google chrome
- I'm not using magisk
- I'm not using custome themes
- I'm not using dark mode

What are you on about, this is a free custom ROM based on beta software, has nothing to do with Xiaomi Official and since it is free there are no customers...

They use this Xiaomi.eu ROM in some EU stores. They have definitely customers. When something is free does not mean they do not have customers.

So don't come with bullshit.

I just say you cannot send out this ROM because more are using it.

Some specific stores (at least one) offer to unlock bootloader and install Xiaomi eu. They do in no way claim it's official though. And obviously it adds a waiting time before they can send the phone which they make clear.

Looks like dark mode is fixed now. Didnt experienced any trouble.

It's a fact for a year on all Android 11 devices, Xiaomi devs added only that confirmation dialog last week which basically confirms non-system launchers don't support FSG on MIUI. Blame Xiaomi and their launcher implementation, there's nothing we can do about.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that there are issues with Android 11 and gestures for all phone manufacturers. I am hopeful the developers are aware of it and will fix it sometime soon.

The issue I am raising is that this change of a confirmation dialog has possibly unintended consequences outside of notifying the user. User SpinoRex described it better than I could (Very slightly modified):

Now, when trying to switch, there is only information that gestures work only with system launcher (what we already know) and we can only cancel and leave on-screnn buttons navigation, or accept to use gestures and will automatically switch back to system launcher.

Why not use warning instead, to let user know that gestures will not work with 3rd party launcher but still let him to switch (without the need to switch to system launcher

I am guessing they added the dialog specifically because different forums, including Xiaomi official one, have had a lot of posts about this.

I don't know how much Xiaomi.eu team can modify the UI, but adding something like a tick box Don't switch the default launcher (inbuilt gestures won't work) would be useful and satisfy everyone until gestures are fully working again.

Has anyone installed this new update on Mi 9 Lite? Is it working normally, without crashes?

I Installed it in Twrp on mi11 (venus) and now I am in a bootloop. After installing the zip and rebooting the xiaomi boot logo appears than restarting than back in twrp. Before I had 12.5 stable. Can anyone help me please??

Did you format data when you switched from stable to beta ?

Nope. Is my smartphone dead now???
Can access still twrp and fasboot.
No I don't think it is dead at all, but you may need to format data in TWRP (just data, not system, etc ..). I know it is mandatory weekly > stable, but I don't remember stable > weekly.

If you can afford it, wait for another opinion, a lot of people here are more knowledgeable than me.

I tried format data now and also factory reset in twrp than install zip. Stil same problem. Thanks for your answer!!

Mi 10.
Starting from 21.8.4 phone get stuck sometimes but rare. In 21.8.11 it stuck all the time! Wipe/format data didn't help. Just revert to 21.7.28 fixed it.

IMPORTANT!
Maybe I oversaw it but I didn't find it in any of these threads that's why I went to loop, OP should add it in all initial posts:

- Remove SECURITY/ENCRYPTMENT before upgrading from Stable

So if you come from 12.5 Stable - Remove encryption - boot TWRP -reset data/cache - install 12.6.
That's how it worked for me.

Yes this should be clear for experienced users but u sometimes forget it and also beginners here.

If you are talking about changing custom global setting force_fsg_nav_bar 1, then that either required adb access from an external device or root, right? I don't know of another way at the moment, please do share if there is a way without adb/root, it would be very helpful.

You can run the code without root or an external PC by using wireless debugging in developer options and an app called LADB available in the Google Play Store.
