Is there going to be any formal monitoring and testing of recovery apps, eg. TWRP *, and the relevant information passed on as to what can and cannot be used for particular boards?
* or working methods of installation

With the imminent release of Miui13, I wonder if there will be any change in encryption which might affect any recovery apps being used. It would be useful to know in advance (or anyway at the release of ROMs) whether there are any problems with specific ROMs and / or specific versions of recovery apps.

Indeed. This is exactly what the "Region" setting in Settings is designed for, and you set it to "India"...

Does anyone know how to update "Contacts and Diler" system application.? While using different thems it always stay like default, both with SMSs. In theme components trying to change them I get the note, that they couldn't be changed in that current version of application. It's insane that just a default ( pretty ugly ) version of look is available. I 've tried that both on last stable 12.5.4 and that developer version. How can be fixed that problem ?

This is real truth, it's been disturbing since miui 12.5...

I bought the phone with Chinese rom and there was no such problem. The version of a Contacts there was the same - 12.2.3.8
So if there's some way to change Contacts somehow ? Upgrade or downgrade whatever.. ?
Because it's insane to stay just on default ugly one, no matter which theme I'm applying ?

I have in my Mi9T the TWRP 3.4.0_9-10-mauronofrio, will it work or should I flash other TWRP?

I use twrp 3.4.0_9-10-mauronofrio on my mi 9T.
I have no problem flashing the rom.
dirty flash no wipe or format data,only wipe cache/dalvik cache this is not necessary need to do I think,it's just my habbit everytime I flash a rom.
please note that I'm not download the rom over OTA I download the rom using browser, don't know if that will make a difference or not.

and please do with your own risk sir, I'm just confirming that twrp 3.4.0_9-10-mauronofrio is work well for me.

everything looks good,no errors,no bootloop or anything,great rom like always,except one little thing,in settings and other apps like device info hw,drm info,etc they read my device as redmi K20.
but in camera watermark it still say "shot on mi 9T"

not a big problem I guess but still nice if there's a fix for this.

I have updated my Mi 9T from 21.4.28 to 21.5.12 and everything else is fine (no issues for me with Calendar and so)

However, why my Mi 9T is now everywhere renamed to Redmi K20:
in Settings, About and All Spec
and in fact in all ro.product.*.model props?

Hence all other apps now also report Xiaomi Redmi K20, hence I wonder could it affect Google Play or something

Try to turn off dark theme for the dialer.

I can't find a way to do that on the Mi 11.
However the bug exists there too, the dialer call
the dialog seems to ignore the theme and takes the home screen wallpaper as background and probably the whole settings text colors setting too.
