Oh my, why so complicated?
I made dirty flash, as usual, in recovery, cash wiped after flash, NP at all.

I tried a straightforward dirty flash using P-TWRP first, which seemed to work fine. However, when I next went into P-TWRP, it DID NOT prompt for a PIN and all of the /data paths remained encrypted. I do not believe that P-TWRP is compatible with Android 10, hence the "upgrade" to LR-TWRP.
Also, I stripped LR-TWRP out of the ROM prior to installing it because another user had stated that it resulted in a boot loop if left in AND it was upgraded from P-TWRP. I was not prepared to take that gamble, so I removed it.
Although my method might be slightly convoluted, it DOES work.
Incidently, at some point after the upgrade, LR-TWRP does eventually start prompting for a decryption key. Probably the fifth or sixth time of entry... I have NO idea why its behaviour suddenly changed.
