- Full screen gestures on reboot: Fixed
- Dual apps: working perfectly (tried skype)
- Miui biometrics battery drain: Fixed for now (no battery drain for me)

no dual app problem not fixed yet i test it on whatsapp and facebook after reboot gallary and file manger force close and whatsapp show storage full

and i have gallery app use more power even when i dont use it ??

Phone working nice so far, except issues i run into with dirty flash. So be prepared for it, make a full backup. I needed to reflash rom again and restore backed up data to make it work properly. I mentioned it post above.

Deep sleep work OK, so far no unnecessary battery drains till now, and over last night, even bugs i run into.

How about performance? Any significant improvement or lags? I know I'll update today, just curious.

Mi 9 Pro , Now there is issue on search contacts, everything is white on dark and light mode. As screen shot.

Boot to TWRP => Decrypt "/data" partition => Go in "Advanced" > "File Manager" then browse to "/data/system/package_cache" and delete it.

Files encrypted in TWRP for Mi 9 Pro. unfortunatly.

Is there anyway to disable 'auto adding line between copied numbers' in MIUI?
When I copy a number in message app by tapping and choose copy, MIUI add a line between nubmers.

for exam:
the num is 123456
but copied number will be 123-456

I don't like auto formatting.

I understand your point but with the previous release I cannot use skype in dual app and now I can without any problems.
I've not tried whatsapp and facebook because I don't need to use these apps in dual app mode.

So for me ... it's a big step forward

Maybe a bit yes, but not much, some apps starts faster. Maybe i need clean install too, for full experience. No some noticeable lags, all fine. Good luck with update!

it's too early to speak / evaluate performance, as just past 12hrs since install it (once released)
till now all good. same smoothness, responsiveness and behavior like in last month version (xiaomi.eu beta 20.9.17) which was perfect A10 MIUI12 for me !
gesture works (i use native launcher), i have no need for dual apps so can't comment on that, all other nice w/o visible bugs (CoC, simple weather widget, Fiio Music, etc.)
no battery drain (2% drop overnight in ~10hrs) so doze works fine;
notifications sharp - gmail, banks, sms, vip access, ... all i have - but here it mainly depends on each flavor setup (!)
no need to format data, just wipe cache + davlik cache before and after flush; haven't delete the .../package-cache but this does not seem to impact me;
i use dark mode and all apps comply , the only issue is that the options on extended power down have icons too darkened (almost not visible - prob. a bug).
as such i must say: great job xiaomi.eu team ! thank you !

Deleted dalvik\cache and cache folder too.
tried to reinstall these apps with deleting cache ,same bug

Went to apps, and really, somejow it was turned on.
Deleted the account and the problems gone, thanks!

Running on Mi 9T here. In gerneral a really nice ROM but I have some strange bugs. Some apps (like MC Donalds) aren't responding. And VPN isn't working. If I start a VPN app I get a connection request popup but the 'OK' button is not clickable. Nothing happens if I click on it. Only 'Cancel' is working. Any solution for this issues?

try to install magisk v21.0 on mi9t 20.10.22,cannot boot into system will reboot to fastboot mode.
and install canary 21005(4e0a3f5e) get the same result too.
edit:install canary 21004 fix this problem

my step:
1.flash 21005: cannot boot correctly and reboot into fastboot
2.flash v21.0: same as above
3.flash uninstall.zip and install v20.4: stuck at splash screen
4.flash 21004: success

Thank you for the detailed answer. I really like 20.09.17. Anyway will flash and report back.
What about the contact visual bug someone posted above?
