Unfortunately no.

Are you sure you formatted the system where you have flashed the rom? There's no reason (apparently) in no having the phone working if you correctly flash the rom in a clear system partition. Try again: wipe cache, dalvik, and then format both the system partition then flash the rom. In this way you save only the data partition where you have the apps and their setting plus the sd card of course.

Since this is the final ROM and is rather buggy, which WIUI version do you guys recommend? Thanks Wajk for your amazing work!

Will this rom be updated this weekend? Or is the support in favor to the kk version dropped?

If you missed my post, here is it.
But my plan is, I will update JB series once in the future. (maybe june)
Nowadays, official Mi2's ROMs has some stability and other bugs.

Anyway KK version working better and better, and it is stable and it has got more advantages than JB.

I'm sorry and thank you for info, I'm busy working and can't read every post. :-(
Will try the new kk version then!
It's without German language if I understand it correctly?

After flashing the 4.5.9 (coming from the 4.1.1) I noticed two downsides/problems:

- I am not able to clear the app cache nor see memory usage form the "application" section under settings, all that is displayed is "computing..." and waiting for minutes won't change anything.

- The "sdcard" process (I have never ever seen it before in the previous version) makes up to the 15-25% of my battery usage (which is ******* huge to me, I have never seen a process jumping beyond 10%, apart from the screen, of course, or "super-heavy" resource-sucking games). In fact, I have noticed a somewhat slight worsening of my battery life.

So...could you plese help me somehow?

Hey people i just received my Xiaomi Mi2S.
Its very cool but i can't read the fricking chinese! Even tough i set the language on English, many 'deeper' settings are still in chinese symbols :(

So i have been looking to CM rom and also heard of this WIUI rom. My question, is this also with chinese symbols?
Or can you set the language ENTIRELY to english?

i use WIUI on my mi2s. please state which 'deeper' settings on your phone that are still in chinese. i will check on my phone to confirm that. anyway, compared to the stock MIUI, WIUI performs better for me.

You can set Wiui in the language you want (main ones) and get rid of any chinese app and stuff.

Okey i made a mistake in my post. The chinese im talking about is mostly in the stock apps (i think).
Baidu input keyboard (settings in chinese), Baidu maps garbage and Market are all in chinese. Personally i have the need to be able to control and make changes to everyhting, and that's not possible with chinese language. That's also why i don't like Apple.
So maybe i made a mistake buying this phone, but it looked so awesome and with such an good price.

But that Wiui sounds good. Is it with Google Play apps?
I hate to ask the noob question here amongst all you programmers, but can i find a step-by-step installation guide somewhere?

i guess even by changing rom, it will not change the language of specific apps. only part of the rom that is translated. you have to find some alternative to replace that particular apps. Baidu input can be replaced by google keyboard. and i think you will not use chinese market, but use playstore right?
it is not a mistake to buy this phone. it is very powerful, with the right usage. just install custom ROM you like, and i am sure that you will satisfy with this phone. WIUI is much like MIUI but with lots of optimization, remove bloat apps, remove chinese apps, and add playstore. i suggest to try this ROM if you like the taste of MIUI. but if you prefer the stock android feel, you can try CM11.
anyway, try WIUI first. the link and the steps are provided in the first post on 1st page. follow this list: "if you are coming from other ROM than WiUi and you didn't flash CWM Recovery"

Uhm that's very interesting. I always used miui stock but recent update are really bad.
Can I install this wiui in partition 1 or 2 and leave miui on the other? Do u have to wipe all (or does the installation wipe all?) or can I just download it, install and it's OK?

It's based on jb right?

Sure, you can install Wiui in any partition you want while leaving miui or CM in the other one.

When enabling TDB, just wipe the partition where you want to install Wiui, flash the zip, reboot in the right partition and enjoy the best modded MIUI ROM ;)

Ciao!

Ah it needs tdb?
But does it wipe everything right? I mean installing tdb

Obviously if you want two different roms in two different partitions you have to enable TDB.

By enabling it your phone will be fully wiped, so make a backup before proceeding.
