After installing 4.8.29 (great ROM BTW, Thanks a lot Wajk) I cannot use the default SMS app.
Force closes right after I open it, so I cannot use my phone for SMS's.

Tried:
  • wiping all caches,
  • fixing permissions
  • and reinstalling the ZIP from CWM Recovery.

Any ideas?

ETA:
Using default settings, not Wajk undervolt or MiCore!

I jump a big update from 4.4.11 to 4.8.29. I can't apply any theme, but I guess the root problem is because I can't login / create account through xiaomi service framework.
 
There are little bugs in 4.8.29 on my devise I found at once. I cannot apply MIUI wallpaper (it shows that wallpaper is applied bit nothing changes on the screen, all the same default wallpaper of the firmware). Also Toggle Power widget doesn't indicate Power Saving Mode. It can be switched to Normal Mode, Power Mode, but then being presseed again it stays on Power Mode, not Power Saving Mode.

Before flashing I did full wipe! Firmware works perfectly! There is no bug!
 
Another thing: screenshot with power + vol down doesn't work anymore :(

EDIT: Just found out that menu + vol down works :)

Full wipe is not convenient for me. But thanks, I'll try to test this way.

P.S. Just made a full wipe and flashed 4.8.29 again. Bug with Toggle Power Widget mentioned above is still exist (only Normal Mode and Power Mode are indicated, Power Saving Mode is missed here).

Totally fixed the problem for me...
(Talking about factory resetting before flashing)

Was also inconvenient for me, although it was worth the trouble!
 
With the announced closure of this site, can I confirm, is this rom going to still be supported and available on the miui forum please?

Did you try using wakelock detector? :)

I realized that sometimes, when I do not factory reset before flashing new ROM, I get massive battery drain (talking about maybe 80% in 5 hrs!)
