I am trying to get FDM downloading, MXplayer playing in background and Opera browsing, unfortunately it starts closing apps, I am on curtana with HMNote9Pro_HMNote9S_V13.0.2.0, all the above apps have battery saver no restrictions and the LOCK thing in the app switcher (lock apps), any tips on changing settings on this rom to be able to have these apps open without crashing/closing ?

Using TWRP, you need to delete the second space folder using rm command, see https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/twrp-3-6-2-with-android-12-support-has-been-released.66158/

MIUI 13.0.4 on Mi 11 Pro:
only two Notification sounds and four Ringtones available. When pressing "More" it kicks you back to the previous page. Battery drains a lot faster than on my aged Redmi Note 10.

Mi 11 lite 5g ne here. I received the notification to update my phone to 13.0.03 but I can't download the new version. After fetching download link... shows up, the updater crashes and says Updater isn't responding. Help?
Just wanted to post a "thank you message" to all who are contributing on developing these rom's. I'm not very skilled when it comes to installing 3rd party software for my phone (it was actually the first time I did it), but following the guides I managed to install via twrp the xiaomi.eu build 13.0.9.0 for mi11 and is a BIG difference comparing to the Global version which I was using since. Way more options, better looks, system runs smoothly and more battery efficient.
So, thanks for your efforts and giving detailed guides that even noobs like me manage to pull it through with the install. Fingers crossed now for when an update comes that I'll manage to install it again

Do a manual install. Your previous ROM was fastboot, so it explains why you can't use the updater directly (TWRP is needed).

AFAIK, it's for passing SafetyNet/Play Certificate (out of the box but WITHOUT root)
Some fingerprints are SKQ (A12) and some RKQ (A11)
Test from Terminal:

getprop | grep RKQ

When clicking on any pdf document, nothing happens, Mi Doc Viewer doesn't work. If I install other apps to open pdf documents, device asks for my choice selecting app and then it crash, returning to home screen.
Is possible to reinstall stock app (Mi Doc Viewer)?

Perform a factory reset from your phone in Settings> about phone. Or factory reset in recovery

With 13.0.13 Stable ROM a found that Gmail attachements can't be dowloaded, I use my Gmail adresses on Yahoo Mail app, works just fine.
Also like someone from above said you can't open PDF with stoc Manager app, screen freezes, also if you instal Mi File manager from Google play same behavior. The solution is Google File manager, and you can open PDF with Google PDF viewer, Drive PDF viewer, Dropbox PDF viewer.
If you want to open PPTX with Mi doc even in Google file manager the screen freezes, solution install WPS Office.
Youtube Vanced does not show notifications.
Google wallet works, my bank app works for NFC payment.

Factory reset didn't work. Same issues. Can't open pdf and can't download any attached file from Gmail. You say that this can be fixed by installing Google File Manager or WPS Office. Which is better in your opinion?
Google File Manager to manage you files that you have on your phone and also gives a link to google drive pdf or google viewer. And WPS if you need to open PPTX or XLS file( data sheets) if not just first option.

Have you checked permissions - by default, new MIUI permissions (Settings, Apps, Manage apps, scroll to the particular app, Permissions) are so restrictive that you cannot do many every-day operations
Eg, make sure that GMail is allowed to Access and change files on internal storage (I don't use GMail but I need the same permission for other apps like Telegram to be able to save to Download folder), etc
Also, for that PDF viewer you probably need the same permission.
Enable also (I had for many apps) Access items in clipboard and Save to clipboard.
Double check other permissions you will see and enable when they make sense - play with Permissions yourself
I checked every permission in Gmail, nothing worked. Some said that factory reset helped, not my case.
Seems to be an Android 12 problem from what I read, other devices seems to be affected.

I have also checked all permission in Gmail and store data. Same issue. Does anybody here know how to fix it? It is really annoying...
