It didn't work. I installed not only the latest stable rom, but some other older version and on none of them the camera worked again.

Is there anything more I can try?

Use mflash tool then install eu after format all in twrp

OMG, the default camera app now has FULL MANUAL SETTINGS, i can finally take this phone out for a long exposure photography tests, no more *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* ports for this user = more space on phone.
