ADD : never seen this issue before with android 8 or 7

and then you install the zip file within TWRP.
If this doesn't work and flashing EU rom revert to fastboot you have to go back to a fastboot oreo rom and restart the process with 1102 twrp.

If you have doubt, just download all TWRP version (1102/1217/1227/0423) and rename them in your ADB folder like TWRP1.img, twrp2.img etc
Then in fastboot mode you test them one by one and the first you get booting is the one you must install for flashing EU rom.
cmd in fastboot mode from adb folder;
-fastboot boot twrpX.img (X is the number you added to all different files)
Then enter and wait for some seconds.
My guess 1102 and 1217 will do the job!

Maybe try to remove a couple of recently installed apps? Did you upgrade to Magisk 19.1? Issues were reported.

Or just take a nandroid backup, clean install and test for a day. If you still have issues then it's a ROM fault. If not then restore your backup and search deeper on what creates your issues.
Try also reverting to the last ROM which you believe gave you no issues. It might as well be a hardware issue. Many variables there which will need time on your part to test. We cannot test for you :)

As i mentioned before, my Mi6 works flawless, no problems whatsoever, no Root and no Magisk modules installed.
I would recommend to remove all Apps installed which are not included in the eu. ROM, unroot and uninstall Magisk and flash ROM again.
 
I am not able to get Gmail push notification work. On Mi6 and Mi5s.
I have to manually open and update Gmail to see new emails.
I tried to delete Gmail cache but it didn't help.

Did you check setting of Gmail?
Is notification turned on?
It works fine for me on Mi6...

If I flash this to my Mi6, would I be able to update it via OTA or do I need to download the whole rom every time I update it?

I have networking issues.
At the previous 9.4.x version I had mobile network signal problems, now every bandwith-consuming download just crashes.

In app "Updater" should be able OTA

There is an OTA Updater but it's not incremental. You will still need to download the whole ROM

i also flashed over the previous version, i don't have this issue at all.
but this is true that for some releases it had a random soft reboot asking sim pin, etc. it occured once in two months.
 
Confirm no random wake up on Mi9, probably it's due to the use of AOD (I'm not using it) and some notification get updated that will cause the screen to get on

Btw while downloading OTA from updater app, with the ringer silenced (vibration enabled) I'm getting random vibrations like evrytime the progressbar of the download get updated

I am having problems with the screen in general, after changing the DPI. I'm using 420. The songs and various points are going to another corner or even if they are clickable.

As an example, I use the user change icon in Instagram. I suffer to tighten on the functional point...

Then don't touch the DPI. It's an unsupported hack.
