Hello. I have a question. My wife has an Hm4x. Today I installed this version 8.8.9 and now I have the black screen. Before I still had version 8.2.21 I think. Do I have to install the first version of MIUI 10 first and then only today?

after upgrade to 8.8.9 and install magisk 16.7 battery menu crashes...
so..I installed the 8.8.9 zip again, and rooted again , then it works.

so just update from 8.8.9 to 8.8.9 again and install magisk , everything is fine

I dont know why, but after second flash/root it works


But so far, 8.8.9 is much more better than 8.8.2 !
*no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* Autofocus is working again and everything seems smoother, battery seems to be ok again.

Also tried it but no success.

Installed the Rom again and afterwards Magisk.

Same failure.

Is here nobody who can read the crash dump for me? It's really only the battery menu everything else working fine.

Otherwise I have to give up.

Same here... Can't boot any rom after 8.8.3 v1 @ingbrzy when it asks for the sim pin the screen it's on/off every 2 seconds.

You only need to install the version released today.
However, if you continue to see a black screen, we recommend that you perform a factory reset.

interesting, I have read this from others, too, but my Mi Note 3 doesn't have this problem. Try a different theme to see if it goes away. I use "limitless".

Delete it from the rom description. Not relevant anymore... Classic and default theme neither have unified app icons. This is since the previous release.

Can I flash it if my bootlader is locked using the MiFlashPro tools?

They say "Recovery mode flashing without unlocking the bootloader."
but I don't if you can flash only the recovery or the full ROM.

You need officially unlocked bootloader

no you don't need to, the last version is enough to go back !

Since MIUI 10 my internal mic stopped working, also all my notes and some of my installed apps have disappeared.
This latest update doesn't fix my problems either, neither does switching back to MIUI9.
Anyone else have this problem?

Try flashing miui 8 or 9 using FASTBOOT ROM, that should fix the problem. It has happened to me earlier also.

Yep, it's gone. Xiaomi's decision.
