Just curious but how exactly do I do backup of my currently rom and mount it later ?

You do that in TWRP under "Backup".

It's important to understand what the different partitions that you can backup are for, and when (and when not!) to wipe them and/or restore them.

The "data" partition is the most interesting to do a backup of when you are going to flash a new rom, it has all your apps and settings, home screen layout, etc. - but not your personal files, fotos, etc. - you have to make a backup of them outside of TWRP.

The "system" partition has the actual rom, but none of the apps or settings you have installed. It is actually usually not so important to backup, as you can always flash the rom again.

There are several other partitions, most interesting is the "persist" partition.
It seems to mainly contain "persistent" settings, that you can not change, and that need to remain the same irrespective of what rom you have installed, like radio settings, etc
But settings for TWRP seem to be kept there also.

got exactly one crash of "system ui". But until now I'm not able to reproduce it. Fingers crossed...

All good so far on Mi 5s. Dirty flash with Magisk 16.4, cache wipes and an extra reboot just in case.

Thanks devs!

Sorry for asking but I don' t see the MI5C in the list with suspended devices but I can't find it in the downloadlists. Someone???

First of all i wanted to thanks for your efforts and works but today i dirty flashed 8.8.16 on my mi note 3 but it doesnt feel smooth as 8.8.9 or older roms. For example i have to wait 5-8 sec to open whatsapp(stays on white screen) or facebook etc takes more time to open(compared to 8.8.9). Am i the only one who feels like that?

Regarding ingbrzy..

Thanks For Your Awesome Work For MiUi.

I Update My mi5

[/ QUOTE]
HI have done look up or other side

Sir, it's better write in English
If you need help for us

Always you can learn Polish ;)

But if you want, ok.

I see miui team have a trouble with stability of miui versions. Maybe its needed to stop release updates for 2 weeks, and prepare one, good variant?

happy too soon ...

Now I got more and more crashes. Changed language to english.
  • seems to be a language problem (german). Any chance to get this fixed and reupload the roms? Or do we have to wait until next week?
  • is it possible to go back to 8.8.9 without brick the whyred (because anti-rollback)?

I think (@ingbrzy correct me if I'm wrong) that xiaomi.eu doesn't have the anti-rollback function, so you should be safe to go back.

Das Problem tritt nur in deutscher Sprache auf. Sobald Sie auf Englisch wechseln, ist es weg. [/ QUOTE]

Wipe Dalvik and Cache in Twrp and see if it helps. No problems for me on Mi note 3.
