Is it OK to update the ROM by using the Updater app?
For example going from 7.8.17 to 7.8.24. Or should you always use TWRP?
Just tested starting the updater app and it started downloading the latest release...

Still cannot find settings for add, remove and set default home screen.

Yeah, this is so weird. I'm also waiting for a way to change home screen.
Maybe we can leave it as a suggestion somewhere?

Hi, i got ota update, downloaded it, and when i start it phone should go to recovery but it doesnt go, just restarts and still stays 7.8.17. Why is that? (

You can use updater app ofc. It is designed for install updates

I tried it on mine Mi 5s with updater, phone just restarts, dont go in recovery mode at all.

Hello. Guys, as far as I understand, there is no OTA support? I have version 7.8.17 installed. I checked the updates through the Updater - it's not there. The site is already available in version 7.8.24.

Ota is only on this rom from now on.

I have been waiting to unlock bootloader for 5 days now.. I received permission on Monday, but i still cannot unlock. its says now couldnt unlock after 2 hours of trying unlock...its come down from 72 hours... what do i do..i really really really want to use this rom...View attachment 16645

Try to use a older version of that. Because when I bought mine mi5 is was the same. So I've search on a older version. And was in seconds.

It has always been like that. Xiaomi launcher is almost an AiFone (lololol)

I honestly say I don't really understand what you mean because there no flash for front camera only for rear camera...

Xiaomi.eu rom supports OTA now and of course it will download Xiaomi.eu rom, not official rom.

Does mi5 have front flash?

White screen taking pictures in WhatsApp. Miui8 works great. Miui 9 last week didn't work well. White screen turning off before picture taken.

He is talking about the WhatsApp feature, where it flashes the screen white if you take a picture with front camera and enable flash.
