Battery draining too fast on 4X. I had to charge after 72 hours on MIUI 8. Now after 36. At night in airplane mode only 1% was dropped now about 7-8.

I haven't noticed any significant battery drain so far on my Redmi 4X. I use to charge the phone every two days when it's 30-40% left, now on MIUI 9 and then on MIUI 8. I'm not a heavy user, not playing games or watching movies for hours so maybe not relevant to judge

which way do you suggest me to upgrade to weekly latest rom?

Marshmallow is still the best ROM as far as I can tell, so stay with it.

so time for factory reset.. or clean app data..

I can not clean email app data, i tried. Also clean cache and dalvikcache didnt help. After i installed the 7.8.24 over the actual and it works again. Thank you so much

It's irritating. My Redmi 4X is experiencing the same issue. +30% awake time. I'm losing 10% during night in airplane mode.

Yes, it was about max 2% on MIUI 8.

At first few days battery drained extra fast, then it stoped draining it by itself, now seems fine, 5h constant use now it tropped on 80%, it seems fine. I use Mi 5s
