I installed TWRP via SP Flash tool and it is OK. I had the same issue, that I couldn't install it via updater or flashify. :)

Phone wanted to update this morning and as alwas it's a little bit scary. But everyting is running fine :)

Every boot I got an annoying notification to register my device, that is why I froze this service. Are you sure this is why your SIM is not recognized any more?
ps: Dont uninstall, just freeze. It is almost the same but you can unfreeze.

I think we use different apps. Mine is called system app remover [root]. It doesnt have a "freeze app" option. Anyway, I will try to freeze the framework with the app you mentioned.

When I was uninstalling apps with the remover, to test which ones are not important for miui to work, I noticed that If u uninstall the framework completly, and then restart your phone, it doesnt recognise the sim card. Although, sMIUI has an option to completly avoid installing the framework altogether. Anyway, Ill try it when I have time, I still have not even updated to 6.5.5.

I had another problems in stock email app:
- Sometimes it did not show the whole message, only a half of a line. I could scroll, but it seemed there is a huge white overlay on it. I had to press Back than open the message again to see the whole text.
- Sometimes the last few lines were missing from the text. Back button and reopen did not help either. It was strange, first I thought the sender forgot to finish the email :) Than I realized that the email is complete, I can see it on my laptop.

That is why I gave on stock email app, I froze it and installed AquaMail instead. I am happy with it, has a lot of useful features.

I am on 6.5.5 hermes. I use Root Uninstaller and freeze several apps and services I dont use or dont like. Those remains frozen after ROM update, so I dont have to do it every week. My phone works perfectly without them. I give the list of my frozen apps, maybe it is useful for you and others:
- Email (I use AquaMail instead)
- MI Remote (I use irplus instead)
- Yellow pages (Useless)
- Weather (I use a Hungarian weather provider and its widget)
- Weather Provider
- Gallery (I use QuickPic instead)
- MI Cloud (I dont share my private data with China)
- Xiaomi service framework (annoying notification, I dont want to register)
- Documents (frozen by default)
 
I installed this rom on my mi4 n tried to root it with supersu 2.68 via twrp but never worked ( waited for 30 minutes but didnt boot)
Any suggestions?
 
I realise this applies to eu roms in general , not specifically this one but I didn't realise how much effect the icon style would have . It's obviously really only presentational , but it is so much more tidy with eu . The icons in official roms do give the appearance of being afterthoughts , like their hearts are not really in it !

Even though there is no problem in my internet connection it takes too much time to load a page.
When I connect my mi4c with pc it takes more time to recognize than the prev version

I uninstall weather, weather provider, yellow pages, documents and mi cloud, too.

I also uninstall:
-Stock Browser (I use chrome)
-File Explorer (I use Root Explorer)
-Video (I use MX Player)
-Mi Drop
-Mi account
-Mipub
-Mi cloud backup
-Google contacts sync
-Google calendar sync (I dont need to sync anything)
-Print spooler (useless)
-Report bug
-Sim toolkit
-Music FX


NEVER UNINSTALL/DISABLE CLOUD PRINT!!!

MI4C Isn't ok..... i always feel the device too hot without playing or doing something else. And the battery goes down too fast! Two weeks ago (or 3 maybe) these problem were fixed.... now the return? I hope that in miui 8 by xiaomi.eu there will not bugs like that. Thanks for all guys

Bug desription: sometimes doesn't work unlocking via fingerprint sensor.

Hi, when I change from wifi to data, no work, I can't get Internet. But, I reboot the phone, the data work fine.
Test with 2g, 3g, 4g.
MI4 LTE.

I must admit that the effect is transitional. It happened again, so I cleared app data once more time. I will see in two days and will give a feedback.
