How to install Aries - Access /data via a file manager (as root) and copy the zip to /data . You can then access it via recovery. Works for me.

...yeah, but why is it necessary. what is the advantage? I always update it via updater app without any issue...

download last version of the rom for Mocha with different size and md5.
Now there is no problem with the installation and everything seems to work properly.
Thanks so much!

Just because this time it did not work as always - internal storage is not available from TWRP. I do not know why, may be due to no root feature

Just a stupid question that makes me wonder a lot. Will i lose my internal data, including files etc. if i flash via the custom recovery the new rom ? Is there any specifical procedure to do it without cleaning your memory ?

I lost root access with this update too. I just checked the internal storage content via TWRP and all available for me. Strange...same ROM same device but different user experience.

You can try to install SuperSu and you feedback will be completely welcome or wait for next updates and hope that root access will be included again

Hi all!

So I wanted to refresh my device and installed latest China Dev ROM via Fastboot with MiFlash - that worked out great.
However, I can't go back to EU ROM - Mi Recovery gives me installation error both when I try to flash the ROM or TWRP recovery.

Any advice, please?
Maybe you have locked the bootloader with the lastet dev china

But the both have the same features?
What's the diference with both?
No... Stable are "older" ROMs, with stable proven features - all new features appear first in dev ROMs, and only later in stable.

I think all recent xiaomi.eu ROMs must be installed using TWRP, so it's normal that Mi Recovery gives you an error trying to install;
If you can't even install TWRP first, I don't know if it can be because of not having root? Otherwise, you could have locked the bootloader if the Chinese rom is a recent one.
