Yes as you mentioned your system is out of date better is to start with a mi flash of the China development then you can update safely.



Just update twice 5.12.17 as you would do as before it will do the right partitioning.
Then update with 6.2.25 it will install twrp automatically.

I tried doing it like you said but this happened:

Thank you so much for your help. I finally solved the problem by installing the 5.12.17 update to TWRP and then installing the new one !

thanks to the advice Nicoff i managed to install the TWRP and get the root with supersu in my mi4lte.

For the new 6.2.25 Roma are undecided whether or not to install. I did not understand if there is some bugs. my English is to google ...

So you need to miflash the fastboot global 7.0.5, then update 5.12.17 twice, then update 6.2.25

Thanks for the answer! I tried to flash via Mi recovery 2.0.1 (update.zip is under the root) but I get the error "Install update.zip failed, Error applying update" :-(

Is it safe to flash this update with Mi flash under windows ?

Hey, guys I am useing a Redmi Note 2 and with this update I have Unknown Kernel Version and processor clock on 1.95 GHz. I saw it reported as a bug, but my question is - is there a way to get back on the 6.2.18 with a some simple flash ? Or this is just visually displayed like that, but the phone is really working on 2.0 GHz and I should wait the next weekly update?
