Hi everyone,
in case of this process ;
How to update to Android 7.0 from Android 6.0:
- Install LATEST Android 6.0 release for MI5 6.11.10
- Install TWRP 3.0.2.3 or ZCX
- Reboot to new TWRP
- Install Android 7.0 release
- Reboot - Never wipe /system partition manually!
- Done
- In case of any issues, make factory reset via system settings
- For ROOT on Android 7.0 install SuperSU 2.79
- For update from 7.0 to 7.0 reboot into TWRP (Updater app doesn't work yet)

Can we make a wipe dalvik cache or not ?
Sorry if my question seems stupid.... Don't want to make a mistake

I've got an issue since the Android 7 update to MI 5 with the GMail app / sync. It seems that despite marking the emails read or deleting them doesn't seem to force the sync of the configuration to the Google Server, as you can check from your PC a couple of minutes after and the emails don't appear in sync.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1) Do something with GMail app, like mark an email read/unread, delete or something.
2) Wait a couple of minutes.
3) Check your GMail account in a PC or other device.
4) See if the action done in 1 has been applied.

Most of the times, in the step 4 you will see your account as if you didn't do anything in step 1.

As a curiosity, this doesn't seem to happen if I perform the action from another device (like from the PC) and then check the GMail app. Doing the actions like this seems to work correctly and the phone syncs the application.
