No it is chinese based, no multilanguage. Just 10 languages. I dont like it. But it have latest built.

I can confirm this. For me it crashes in german language.

Also in Hebrew (the settings->buttons crash issue).

On Mi5, since Android 7 introduction, the Personal Hotspot is not working. Can ping from PC to Hotspot device, but not to internet.
Some web-pages mention a "Data Saver" function that needs to be disabled, but cannot find it.

Anybody have knowledge or information on the Hotspot / Data Saver options?

Found a workaround to get the tethering to work again.

Do a search for DF tethering fix ( not found in googleplay )
Install DF tethering fix
Press Fix Tethering

From what I understand the phone needs to be unlocked & rooted (mine is).

The bug report remains open, should not need add-on patches to get basic advertised functions to work.

Hello,

I've encountered a serious bug that should be resolved as soon as possible.

When i put my phone into the computer and use USB Tethering and let the phone go to deep-sleep, it will stop all cores except the lower powered ones(0-1300mhz) and changing to performance mode wont do anything i need to restart my phone to get rid of this. It's really annoying.

I'm using Redmi Note 4

Example:
1. Plug the phone into the computer, using USB Charging mode.
2. Go into settings, choose more then USB Tethering.
3. Press the power button.
4. Wait for 5 minutes
5. Wake the device and run any benchmark and notice the really bad cpu score.
(I'm using, Vellamo Metal(Score: 1401) test for fast compersion. I also tried basemark II x OS(Score: 1080) and Antutu(Score 48000)

To summarize:

Vellamo Metal Score
Before tethering bug:

After tethering bug:
1401

Antutu
Before tethering bug:

How to fix it? Restart your phone everytime you unplug it from the computer or charger...

Try 3rd party camera (*no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum*) if it works.

Battery problems in Mi4c persisted, but the battery drain (associated to the fact that the phone never went into deep sleep) seems to be caused by MiFit app. Change permissions and the phone will go into deep sleep normally!
