Yup, I am not able to get into the updater but the ringtone issue still exists. Why are you calling out the big guy
for #1 did you try setting ringtone through themes app?
for #2 did you clear updater cache?
Thanks for the quick response @Igor Eisberg - so I am now able to get into the updater but still can't work the ringtone setting. I also tried installing the fix from here but it shot an error and took more than 15 minutes to boot after but it didn't work. Is there any solution to that or is Zedge the only way around?1. I don't have that issue.
2. Try clearing app data for Updater app. If it doesn't help, attach a log so that the Updater app dev could look at it.
Custom ringtones are working fine on the Poco F3 through the Settings -> Sound & Touch -> Ringtone -> All Ringtones (Tap the actual word, or it will play your currently selected custom ringtone) -> Choose local ringtones -> Sounds (It will ask for file permissions) -> My Sounds -> Hit the + icon -> Select your custom ringtone using the Files app and then select it and save. Thanks for the quick response @Igor Eisberg - so I am now able to get into the updater but still can't work the ringtone setting. That's exactly how it is supposed to work but this method just won't work on my Mi 11 Venus. The only way I can set a custom ringtone and it works is through the Zedge app. I read that this isn't a huge bug, it's just some permission issues but how to correct these permissions? lolCustom ringtones are working fine on the Poco F3 through the Settings -> Sound & Touch -> Ringtone -> All Ringtones (Tap the actual word, or it will play your currently selected custom ringtone) -> Choose local ringtones -> Sounds (It will ask for file permissions) -> My Sounds -> Hit the + icon -> Select your custom ringtone using the Files app and then select it and save.
simple goto settings > sounds & touch > ringtone > all ringtones > tap and hold on the tones you wanna delete, select all that you wanna remove and hit delete. This will delete the ringtones only from the list but not from your phone memoryWhat I don't see is a way to remove them from the My Sounds list after you've added one, but that's not really a big deal unless you're removing files from your storage that you previously used. I'd imagine clearing the Sounds app likely would solve that.
Check your Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps -> Sounds, but there may not be a permissions menu in there because its a system app. I did notice mine has an update installed from the google play store installed all the way back in 2022/10/13. App version: 3.0(472386834) com.google.android.soundpicker. If you have an update installed too you could try uninstalling the update in that same menu. If not then it wouldn't hurt to try this version either from the playstore or apkmirror. Worst case you can just uninstall the update again and get back to where you were from the Settings -> Apps -> Manage Apps menu. That's exactly how it is supposed to work but this method just won't work on my Mi 11 Venus. Data is supposed to be encrypted, nothing unusual about that...Hello guys, I hope everyone is okay. I would like to ask a question regarding TWRP. I formatted the data to decrypt It and I have installed TWRP permanently. When the update comes out here, I download it and I'm going to install it using TWRP, but the data is encrypted again and then I need to format data all again. Data is getting encrypted even though I've already done and installed TWRP permanently. This is normal? Is there anything I can do to prevent the data from being re-encrypted? Thank you in advanced

Now interestingly that doesn't work for me on this build, I tried that before I posted the edit. Haha. Going to uninstall the Sounds update and try it again.simple goto settings > sounds & touch > ringtone > all ringtones > tap and hold on the tones you wanna delete, select all that you wanna remove and hit delete. Let me know if that helps
No password is asked when I'm entering TWRP... I can't apply the update because the data got encrypted again and I have to format data to allow me to install the update.... it's annoying because I have to reinstall all my apps, my backups etc. like a clean install. I just want to do a dirty install. Should twrp prevent date of not reencrypted ?What do you mean by encryption? Is the password asked when entering twrp?

I am just lost at this point, so I already downgraded and performed a clean install of the stable Rom and it's working perfectlyNow interestingly that doesn't work for me on this build, I tried that before I posted the edit. Haha. Going to uninstall the Sounds update and try it again.
Likely due to the Chinese rom base. As a workaround you can use an SMS/MMS app that supports RCS such as Google Messages.I noticed that there's no menu in xiaomi to enable mms over WiFi, although messages from xiaomi about it come
Hi bro, I see you have too many problems with your device, I have exactly the same, I use it daily (it's my main phone and I'm a delivery guy for Rappi, Uber eats, Didi food and others) so I use it more than 15 hours a day.I noticed that there's no menu in xiaomi to enable mms over WiFi, although messages from xiaomi about it come
First bug spotted : my carrier doesn't support 5G but the network icon shows 5G signal. Not s big deal, thoughEverything working well on my alioth. Battery performance is a lot better than the original MIUI for POCO ROM that I come from.
Super happy with the release. Thanks
You must contact your carrier network support.I noticed that there's no menu in xiaomi to enable mms over WiFi, although messages from xiaomi about it come
Likely not a bug -- My MVNO doesn't have 5G speeds either, but you can use their parent company's network at 5G signaling, just at 4G LTE speeds (aka they throttle it unless you pay more).First bug spotted : my carrier doesn't support 5G but the network icon shows 5G signal. Not s big deal, though
