I want to flash twrp on Mi 11 but i'm afraid that banking apps will not work with twrp installed. It's safe?

twrp has no issue whatsoever with banking apps unless u root the phone

So what are the steps?, download then what, im sure i tried this once before and just get a menu in chinese and no idea what to press.
