Do you like this MIUI version?

Interestingly, for quite a few weekly updates, the energy consumption of my Raphael was much worse (around 1 day maximum, even with very little use) than it was in MIUI11 and the first (maybe first two) versions of MIUI12. I always had "dark mode" on, because it is supposed to conserve energy on OLED displays.
Then, three days ago I switched "dark mode" off, because some apps looked really ugly - and low and behold, the energy consumption immediately improved a lot. Hourly drop of battery went from between 4 and 5% to 2 to 3%, and I now achieve almost double time with identical use.
I have no idea why this is, but if you use dark mode to save energy, try to switch it off and check whether your energy consumption actually improves!

Hi, which rom is the right choice for K30 PRO ZOOM? is it the same for the K30 PRO / POCO F2 PRO aka "lmi"?

Check the system which drivers are used in /vendor/lib64/hw and /vendor/lib/hw
I also have a device based on Adreno 509 (Mi Max 3).
But the system uses drivers for sdm660 instead of sdm636. After installing OpenGL & Vulkan for sdm660, the version was updated.
Yes, you are absolutely right..updated in recovery (dirty mode) with sdm660 drivers.
Thanks so much.

You can deactivate dark mode for some apps. For example I deactivated dark mode for Twitter and used the build in dark mode from twitter.

Not all apps show up under the Individual apps settings which causes a few them to have invisible text when using the keyboard.

I've been using MIUI 12 for almost 2 weeks now I think and so far I'm extremely happy, this is the best MIUI version I've ever used. For me battery life specially on latest weekly for MI8 has been just great, not better, not worse I would say but I do my regular stuff and get through the day without any troubles, I've been doing the above 20% below 80% charging routine I'm not interested in SOT or any of that sort and I have not noticed any particular drain or weird behaviors battery wise.

On stability I would say this weekly builds feel pretty stable, not sure how much better it could get, I have no FCs or reboots or anything its just a beautiful work all around, I was about to flash a Pixel ROM but then I just remember that MIUI ROMs were the responsibles for me starting flashing ROMs in the first place, I still remember my Samsung Galaxy Nexus days running MIUI 2 or 3 I think so I'll stay with MIUI for now and I will try to take advantage of all its functions. I for example want to learn to take better photos with my phone, I have a Huawei P30 stock and it really in my opinion takes better pictures, that's just the only thing I've been missing after switching to my Mi 8 as a daily driver, especially the AI function on Huawei is better in my opinion, I've also been scanning a bunch of homework for my kids and in low light or overall the images seem better in my Huawei so maybe I need to start digging in the options to improve my photos.

On other topics, what do you guys think of the search function included from China ROM? I'm forcing myself to use it but it is the only app where I think there has not been many improvements, I mean after using the default Huawei search app it loads results a lot faster and just with two letters enter most apps I'm looking show up and on MIUI it takes at least 3 letters and it's not as fast, not to mention when I use sesame search app that it's just another level with it's shortcuts and functionalities so I wonder why they have not made it any better as I remember it pretty much the same for a while. Any thoughts?

Anyways thanks again for this brilliant ROM and any suggestions to improve my pictures would be appreciated.

Easy... use a camera, not a phone!
Nahh that would be pretty dumb to go with a camera around for everyday pictures and school homeworks. For someone really into photography maybe that's the way to go but all I want is to set up the camera to take the best images possible, besides I'm comparing my photos with my other phone but not because I thought they were bad photos in the first place.

Something is wrong with full screen gestures. When I set up the standard launcher as default gestures don't work. But as long I don't do it they work. But that sucks cuz everytime I go back to the desktop I am asked which launcher I want to use. Beside of the standard launcher I have nova installed and with nova set as default gestures work as they should...
On Mi 10 pro

If you want to risk, install the updated GPU drivers. The difference is noticeable.

Steps I've made on my Mix2S:
1- download OpenGL-V@464.0_Vulkan-1.1.128_flashable-treble-v3.1.zip from htxxs://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1_WtDAhm3nGEyCd6y5z5Xhk6G6GQXRcou/1L6OJHx-bq5_cHhW6j4JehDVEZvUfrUDM/1K1NYA_OEDAtIfd11jWoTbSSvaCuvYpXT?usp=drive_open&sort=13&direction=a
2- reboot to recovery
3- wipe cache and dalvik
4- mount system and vendor
5- flash the zip
6- wipe cache and dalvik
7- reboot

Is the same process of installing the rom?

Hey guys, anyone else facing heavy graphic glitches like that?

It's not hw, otherwise i could not screenshot it,
It's only on lockscreen and home, not in any app!

I feel it might be related to super wallpaper and dark mode:

It's way worse than in the picture but hard to catch, any thoughts?

No i didn't upgrade the drivers.

Here's another example :D

Using a Mi 8 here with dark mode automatic during night and I have not experienced those glitches, have you try loading default theme? I'm not using super wallpaper but I'll try to replicate it.

Slds,
Thx mate, I have to add it's first happening after around 3 days uptime, usually I don't reboot between weekly flash :)

Can someone confirm if enabling dark mode from notification shade doesn't allow to go back to home screen collapsing shade or doing home gesture, I can only go back going to settings hitting shortcut on notification panel and from there back to home.

Slds,
Try some google cam ports on your Mi8, I'm using Urnyx05 for photos with awesome results for a non expert user, and Miui cam for video.

Thanks for the suggestion! I´ll give that option a try right away, got a port suggested on xda... let's see if it saves me from carrying a camera on my waist ;)
Slds,

No new release 20.6.25 this week due to Dragon Boat Festival in China

This is noted... Thank you..

Just want to ask sir, do we have any timeline yet for lmi devices? Also, would there be a patch for Pocophone F2 Pro to have its own device name? Currently flashed 5.24 build on my Poco F2 Pro, but device is displayed as Redmi K30 Pro... Hope we can do something about it just like during Mi9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro days...

Thank you. :)
