You are downgrading from Android 11 to Android 10.
You have to format data
If you made a twrp backup of your previous installation of Android 10 with data. You can restore.
You can install the new version from apkmirror
How to install I try but it's not installing with error cant install system apps from an unofficial channel.

Use it as magisk modul or use this apk and install again..

Tho i recommend staying with the default launcher found in Xiaomi.eu rom
Hide apps, app vault and double tap to lock screen not available in this version.
So if you can do without those features, then go ahead.

Install by adb command if not root: adb install name.apk
Make sure that you enable install via USB under Developer options

you must first install the google package installer ver.10 for android 10 and 11 for android 11.
I don't have root or magisk. The procedure with the apk is much simpler no restart in recovery or adb commands from pc.

Just to all be clear. Format data, delete all from phones internal, rom zips too? So we after format data need to put again rom zip on internal?

Exactly like that. Put the phone in twrp and copy the rom to the phone from your pc.

in redmi note 7, after the last update, if i set the default launcher as home screen, navigation gestures stops working and recents screen don't even open.

Seems to be that the downloaded file was corrupt. Did a new download and checked MD5, was okay. Installation now successful.Check the MD5 signature of your downloaded ROM, for Mi 9 / 20.10.30 = 6d23ff25bc8ea6a6a1c34df7f0c9e048

i am also stuck tried 20.10.29 on a poco f2 pro, couldnt install error and got stuck in bootloop. after severall tries i got back into twrp. but i dont have touch control in twrp. anybody have a idea???

I never lost the touch control in twrp on mine F2 Pro (lmi), but i was stuck in bootloop with no way to go to recovery. To enter TWRP again I managed just through ADB and fastboot.
Maybe it's because of this: "TWRP issue for cmi/lmi still exists!"

There is no touch issue on this twrp , the only thing is that you have to boot through fastboot mode to enter twrp , there is no other way now , until we have a new one ..
Couldn't find any updater script error or anything else , 20.10.29 and 20.10.30 installed without issues ..

For everyone wanted a new bootanimation you can take a look at my signature ..
I made a lot of MTZ Bootanimations to use it by themes application ..
