Hermes: Still can't change any sounds; on trying to open a file selector it crashes back to whatever setting I started from.

Also it's not possible anymore to freeze and unfreeze apps in settings under Installed Apps.

Correct, I've also cleared data for Media Storage but that didn't help except that I lost my custom ringtone and can't change it.

Mi Note 64gb LTE, English language. Updated with no problems, and the first boot is as fast as normal.

I'm sad to see that the CRT animation is gone, though. It's been replaced with a fade-to-black&white animation. Looks like Windows XP closing down in a hurry. Shame.

EDIT:I spoke too soon. WiFi connects once, only after a reboot. If the connexion is lost, a reboot is needed to reconnect.

The same issue with the last version
Before marshmallow One drive as no problem.
I update the Mi3, every week
Any help?

Try different version..not from playstore, just search for apk on google

If I let the phone charging to 100% and disconnect it even worse

All night charging -> ~4h 30min of screen time
Charging to 100% and disconnecting -> 3h 30min

I don't know what to do to increase battery life, I've tried it doing a clean installation ROM and using Battery Calibration App but same results, any tip?

It's all subject to what exactly you do with it, I ALWAYS turn off auto brightness, so I can decide for myself what level I need to read display good enough, you'll be surprised with this display how low you can go and still have comfortable reading levels... It costs energy to constantly check surrounding light and adjust brightness level......

Besides I don't use Facebook or Twitter, only email (checkin email manually) and sms, sometimes whatsapp. Turn off all automatic thingies you don't really need.

I also don't use Mi Account (for principal reasons) and only google account, checks only when on wifi, so that is only when I'm home, on the road I almost check nothing, maybe traffic....

And if I don't use the phone, screen off right away. If I go out on the road, wifi off.... saves a lot of power. And ONLY use GPS if you need it. If I drive between 2 large cities, I don't need GPS, only sometimes in the city itself where I don't know my way around.

And sometimes I check traveltime at the start of the trip, and after check, turn off gps. Easy peasy.

This one is after a days trucking around in the Netherlands (I forgot to turn off wifi) :

Nothing special. Browsing, email, forum, youtube... That drain is with screen ON, at almost half brightness. With screen off, in standby, data and wifi off, it drains 1-2% / 8 hours. For my RN2 those are good values

Yeah, it's like I said, subject to type of use..... I've had <1% / hr in standby at some point.... it's great!

Same issue on mi3. Screen on drain 1%/minute but screen off 2-3% /hours.

I'll try to let screen on, half bright, doing nothing, should be around that value I guess...

Well, regarding battery, it's pretty much the same, although it feels a tiny bit better. I don't give it an excessive use, but I do tend to check the phone a lot, third party online music player always on, and chrome also. Either way, the power draining seems to come from the display, mostly. If a way to reduce it was implemented, it would do wonders.

I'd like to make a suggestion, I have no idea where the proper place to do so is. I think MIUI launcher should have an option for the grid. It makes no sense to force people to look for another laucher, or mods, to achieve something that's already present in most launchers.
And it should be possible to customize the statusbar thoroughly, switching the clock, signal icons and such around. Again, MIUI being a "custom" ROM, it should include the stuff that people look for to escape stock android...
Ah, and one more: why restrict the theme choice? The chinese have a whole lot of themes to choose from, and we're rather limited...
I would dare say: please mod the ROM in order to include some popular mods and tweaks, add the chinese themes and MI video version, and make it available as a secondary choice. The main version as it is, and the secondary version for the picky people like me.

same for me with MiFit in 6.1.21, neither from Store or direct apk, so I made a clean install for 6.1.21 and I could install everything.

I thinki from time to time is necessary do it, specially with mayor changes

Hi! I tried this rom for one day. I think that it's perect. Could be mine stable!
I don't use Bluetooth every day.. When I use it's for less time..so I donno if there is a problem!
I think rom is more fluid and battery is more performant!

Can't download, can't load previews. Can't do anything, in conclusion.

Plus, with miui browser i can't search directly from address bar (nothing happens).

Plus, can't disable miui daily lockscreen.

Any ideas?

Browser issue solved setting google as default search engine. For some reason after update no search engine was set.
