For first installation of Mi2S v6 Android 5.0
- You have to be on latest 4.12.5 MIUIv5 or 5.3.27 MIUIv6 Special Edition
- Then install our multilang via Updater app like usually
- Wipe all user data in recovery or via settings highly recommended!

For first installation of Mi2A v6 SPECIAL EDITION
- Install v6 via MiFlash (flash_all) - image
- Then install our multilang via Updater app like usually

Xiaomi Redmi Series:
- Xiaomi Redmi 2 4G LTE
  • Multilang for HM2014811 model (China Unicom/Telecom variants)
  • Multilang for HM2014813 model (TD or 2GB RAM version)
- Xiaomi Hongmi/Redmi NOT 1S (Doesn't have weekly releases):
- Xiaomi Redmi 1S (Doesn't have weekly releases):
- Xiaomi Redmi Note (Doesn't have weekly releases):
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G LTE (Doesn't have weekly MIUIv5 releases):

Installation:

Xiaomi devices:
  • Install via OTA or Updater app
Other OFFICIAL devices:
  • Install via OTA or Download and flash Multilang
  • REBOOT
Other UNOFFICIAL devices and PORTS:
  • Download and flash our current Multi language ROM in CWM
  • REBOOT

I hope a fix will exist for sound problem's with bluetooth equipment i wait for that before reinstalling V6L on my Mi2
 
Thumbs up, +1 and an awesome thank you, especially for producing stable versions of the phone. I am interested in stability mainly and not a rack of partially untested versions, that manage to break things now and then. My friends do like the upgradeability, but are not early adopters. They prefer stable phones that always work, even though they might lack some newer bells and whistles.

Again congrats to xiaomi.eu and to @acid for hosting the files!

Fast question: should upgrading from stable v5 to stable v6 include a wipe all?

yes.. going from weekly to stable require wipe all user data, as stable roms are few weeks older than weekly... btw. stable roms doesn't have ROOT to not allow users screw it up...

DEV ROM vs STABLE ROM
in my opinion
from now on Mi3/ Mi4 / Mi note the DEV ROM from Xiaomi.eu was very stable and clean
we had no chance with the last DEV Rom 5.5.1 it has a lot of troubles: Cleaner and Svi issues
but you need just to jump to previous version, that's all

No need to update every week also, check on this forum if the feedback is good from the earliers rom tester
but if you don't want to play don't update very often !

Really, i would like to said THANK YOU for the hard job that all the XIAOMI.EU team do,
just to bring the last ROM and functions from Xiaomi china for our baby
but sometimes their job is not so easy when the ROM is unfortunately not well finalized !!

So, I was not talking about switching to stable MIUI6 from MIUI6 weekly versions, but rather from the last MIUI5 stable version. Is a full wipe needed there too?

Backup first to your pc images, videos, music, contacts (if not sync'ed with google). The phone will be formatted as part of the procedure.

  1. Flash the xiaomi.eu stable version
  2. Close the phone
  3. Start it up, pressing vol+ and power
  4. You'll enter recovery. Select wipe menu -> wipe all
  5. Reboot
  6. Reconfigure your google account and stuff fresh, from the start

I have questions:

Stable version, is possible to have a ROOT ?

On the future, planning to release newest STABLE multilanguage versions ?

Is possible Update from DEV to STABLE, safety (without wipe) on MI3?
