Hi,

I've some troubles with the brand new Redmi 3S I bought for my girlfriend. Not only it is gold color but also won't start.

It came with a eu miui 7 rom. I installed the TWRP recovery via Fastboot. From there I flashed the 8.11 rom.
First time the screen went black before finishing. I had difficulties to come back to TWRP and the second time all finished well. I did a cache wipe and reboot. Now the phone start and the progress bar slowly reach 100% then the phone reboots the progress bar is starting form 0 once again.

What could be wrong? Thanks.
Try to do it again with a full wipe.

I stuck with unlock bootloader, there was an error couldn't verify device at 50%, how figure out these trouble..

I mean, it's not that difficult, you have only to read few pages, or do a quick search, you can spend a minute of your time, but hey, no, better writing stupid things and harassing people.

MI 2S clean install after full wipe;

Google play store is constantly searching for gps until i force close. It does this from the moment the phone is booted up.

I tried clear cache and data for the app and then reboot, still instantly stuck on searching gps.

This is after a completely clean install after full wipe.

Is this a known issue and/or is it fixable?

It happened to me twice on a previous build, but after a reboot it was gone.

I tried reboots, clearing app cache and data, wiping dalvik cache etc - it just keeps on doing the same routine.

Try this...
Go to settings, battery&performance, manages apps and Battery usage, choose apps, go to system apps, find Google Playstore, put "no restriction", also "allow background location"

And that fixed it

Immediately turned the whole battery usage monitoring thing off to prevent more of these annoying things.

Tnx!

Just noticed another thing;

Missed a call, heard it ring from the other room, thought I'd call back later.

When I checked the phone there was no missed call notification anywhere. The call also registered as being "rejected" instead of "missed". I thought this bug was patched a while ago.

Again, is it just me or are more people experiencing this?

Hello, in this new release the led notifications for telegram don't work (for whatsapp it's alright, for others kind of notifications i didn't try)
Someone has the same problem? Any solution?
I have a redmi note 3 (hennessy)

Anybody know how this rom is different from the one posted on en.miui.com site? For example same version of the rom (global 6.8.11 for redmi note 3 qualcomm) here is 724mb and on miui site 1.3gb.

I'ts in the first post of every new release (check page 1) here but I think it's mainly because of these:
  • No useless Chinese bloatware apps
  • More free RAM due to less background processes
  • No any Chinese character under the full system
  • Optimized RAM consumption
I think this ROM is made smaller by removing things we don't need in the EU/Western world (as Chinese apps who might only work in China).

It's been asked a lot heren. Check the changelog:

Lockscreen, Status Bar, Notification Bar
Optimization - LED notification light turned off by default in permissions (08-05)

I believe it's somewhere in your settings -> notifications -> LED, something like that. Someone else said it before in here.

Yes, and I was scared, that notification led was gone :)
Now it's back, but strange dicesion is keep it off by default.
Working fine on Hermes, only half day, to early judge battery life. Anyway it's always bad on 4g browsing :)

Hi members,

I am currently on miui 8, the xiaomi.eu rom 6.7.14
I tried flashing the latest weekly update (6.8.4 and 6.8.11), but it keeps rebooting to TWRP recovery, and even after wiping dalvik cache and cache, it shows an error as soon as I try and install from the internal drive.

Anybody having a similar problem and found a solution?

Thanks
