[tutorial] Flash Global Rom On Bricked, Locked Bl And W/o Edl !

I know many of you have problems with it, i had it too.
So, i found this thread in MIUI.EN forum from i guy who had a great find in this crazy rom time
He managed to find a shortcut with SHIFT that allows the Mi PC Suite (Chinese version) to flash Mi 5 in Recovery Mode (that is the phone with a usb cable on the screen, when you boot it with Volume+ & Power).
I know this is all useless if your Mi 5 is BL unlocked, but its extremely useful for the majority of the users.

There are many threads with users with the same problem: you can`t flash in recovery because of you locked bootloader, EDL is not working anymore, and the English PC suite is too old. So I downloaded the chinese version of PC Suite:

1. You will need d the full OTA ROM of your choice (chinese or global, Beta or Stable) http://en.miui.com/download-299.html
Save it on a location where you can find it again.

2. Boot Mi 5 in recovery: (Press and hold Power and Volume+, until Mi logo appears, release the buttons and a picture of a phone with cable appears)

3. Connect it to the computer, and with the THE SHIFT KEY PRESSED! click on this icon:

4. Browse to the rom file you downloaded, and select it. (When it confirms, click the middle button to begin flashing). It will take up to 45 minutes: http://imgur.com/GsBUy2h
It boots normal in the end automatically: http://imgur.com/sG4bENR

No, you dont start the phone, go to recovery directly.

Just hold Volume+ and Power.. This is basic phone function, has nothing to do with the seller or the Rom..

They can not overwrite the Recovery, it must be there. And if its not, then your phone its bricked and it wont turn on.. If it turns on, then it must be there 100%.. Hold the both buttons while it shows the Mi logo, then release the Power and hold only V+ for few seconds more, it will show a phone with usb cable..

Check the drivers, they are not correctly installed.

All I tried did not work...

Install Mi Flas and it will install most of the drivers.. If it doesnt again, restart Windows in Advanced Mode and start it with Disabled Driver Signature. Then, install them again, and it should recognise it as Mi 5.
