Hi guys,

I just installed the latest stable MIUI 12 Eu on my new Poco F3 .

I would need a tip from tough guys:

Through TWRP I tried to restore on Poco F3 a backup of the Data file, year 2020, made by my previous Poco F1.

When I restarted my Poco F3, on which I have Root rights, the Vendor systematically encrypted the Data partition without being able to access it.

I then tried to set the keypad lock pin and after rebooting in TWRP I hoped to unlock the Data System password with the current Pin but nothing.

I have already tried the following passwords:
dadada,
secure,
password ,
default_password,
but the Data partition is still encrypted so I can't even format it.

Advice?

I already know that flashing the original ROM deletes everything and then I can reflash the Miu.Eu again but I would like to understand how to flash my old Data file without encrypting it.

Do you no longer use the old Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt that I don't see mentioned in this guide?

Thank you

Set a pattern on your phone and try to decrypt with it. I use a pin with numbers and works fine.. And don't restore a backup from poco f1, I don't think that's a good idea. Do a backup of your apps with swift backup or migrate and restore it in your poco f3. And no, u don't need to use that dm-something.

Hey guys!
So I see there is the XiaomiEU version available for the stable 12.5.3 ROM for the Mi 11 Lite 4G, but it's not a Fastboot version. And the Fastboot version is not listed.
Does that mean there is no way to install it on the phone yet? Since it doesn't have a TWRP yet.

Yes, you can use the Updater to download ROM updates and install them*.

Open the Updater app (you can also go in phone's settings > My Device > Tap "MIUI version" tile, to open it) and tap on "Search for an update" button two times.

If the Updater app doesn't find updates, download the latest ROM manually (via your preferred mobile browser) then go in Updater app > 3-dots menu (top-right) > "Choose an update package" and select the downloaded ROM to start the ROM installation*.

*Install requires a custom recovery and you may need to manually select the downloaded ROM in TWRP if it doesn't auto-start the ROM installation.

The update found an new update, but whenever I try to update it, it just boot to TWRP home menu and after that nothing... Am I doing something wrong? :(

It depends of your device and TWRP version:

- I believe (but I don't know if it still true) all @Nebrassy's TWRP versions don't support automatic-update feature.

- All very recent devices (with one TWRP's version yet) also don't support automatic-update feature, it requires a new TWRP or another custom recovery release...

In this case you have to manually install the new ROM in TWRP:

- In TWRP, go in "Install" menu then find the downloaded ROM => Check in " /sdcard " or " /data/media/0 " directory. Reboot your device after ROM installation. :)

I saw on YouTube someone install by magisk the "PC mode" of the mi fold on mi 11 (all version).

After found the package, I tried to install it on my mi 11 but I didn't see the option in my notification bar.

Maybe can you add it on the weekly version or stable and make it work ? (If it possible to work)

If you want more information I can post the YouTube link or the magisk link

So I can just install it like that? I don't need to wipe everything first in order to update it? :)

MIUI ROMs for Redmi K20 Pro don't seem to support F2FS partition for /data (and /cache), it's really weird from Xiaomi because Redmi K20 is supporting F2FS partition for /data (but not for /cache by default...). :(

Hi everyone! I am still using my trusty Mi9Lite and a couple days ago got an automatic update from Xiaomi.eu 12.5.1.0 to 12.5.3.0
I could not find if I need to wipe anything afterwards, but phone seemed sluggish and many apps simply closed on opening. After some reboots situation was fixed and I even noticed slight battery consumption decrease.
Can you tell me if I needed to do "housekeeping" after installation of update?

Anyway, you guys are the best and your rom should be the default on Xiaomi phones! After moving from "standard" global to Xiaomi.eu Mi9Lite got a fresh breath and I definately prefer MIUI sms and caller apps to Google's dumbed-down products.

But in previous version MIUI 12 I used f2fs ON DATA AND CASH normal without issues

Can you share "/vendor/etc/fstab.qcom" file (you can copy it using the TWRP's file manager in "Advanced" menu - do not forget to mount /vendor partition first) of your current ROM (12.5.4.0)? Thanks. :)

Sorry I don't understand

Sorry I don't understand
Nevermind. ;)

With the MIUI kernel, I really don't think you can use F2FS for /data and /cache partitions on your device.

You said it worked in previous ROM version but it doesn't seem possible without a modified kernel... :)

ok i get it ..,so is there any kernel for Redmi k20Pro miui 15.5.4 ?

I don't know..., simply use EXT4 partitions when on MIUI ROMs or use another custom ROM with F2FS support (or buy a new phone... ^^). :)

when i followed this video its works with me

Hello everyone!
I'm currently running EU Stable Rom 12.5.3 to my Mi 9 lite with no root installed, and I am wondering if is it possible to block ads on mi browser or go for brave browser.
Thanks for any advice!

My Mi Max 3 which has a China Rom English Language recently got a update to MIUI 12.5.1 it has really messed up my phone, none of my google apps will open, plus many more, location settings for apps i need for work do not work now, even though location is set to on. When i bought this phone some years ago, it was said to have a fake rom installed, so i installed the original China rom set to English, and it worked fine ever since, but this new update has really messed it all up, any chance there will be a further update to fix these issues from China, i realise not many international customers use a China rom on their phones.

Awesome work with this ROM, been away for a while because I used Android One on my previous Xiaomi phone. Now upgraded to Poco X3 Pro and back to MIUI EU!

Can I post a feature request here or should I go to the chinese MIUI forum? Anyhow i'm used to Android One google apps like Messages and they have a feature where you can delay/schedule messages. Another nice thing with this app is that it detects scam/spam messages.

hi, anyone know about Miui 12.5.3 on Redmi Note 7 Lavender with app Theme Miui 9?
Why not is Theme App Miui 12?
