[Mi 8] [Weekly Review] MIUI 11 Xiaomi.EU Beta 20.3.12

Hi MIUIers,

I am starting a series to discuss what's new and bugs happening in Xiaomi.EU beta ROMs. It will be helpful if some of you can report and confirmed the issue here to official Xiaomi.EU website. So without further ado, let's get started!

WHAT'S NEW
1. Redesigned lock screen and quick ball animations.
New animation designed for faster and smoother interaction.

2.New Video Toolbox feature.
Use multiple floating apps while you are playing a video. Also include screenshot, recorder, and screen off playback shortcuts.

3. Added time restriction for uninterrupted sessions.
New screen time feature to notify user about interrupted usage.

4. Added indicator on status bar when certain permissions are being used in background.
MIUI now supports indicating whenever certain applications use sound recording, taking photo and accessing location in the background.

5. Files app now supports dark mode.

REMAINING BUGS
1. Data usage settings do not follow SIM Card choice.

2. Dynamic font-weight feature doesn't work in Second Space (Make the entire UI appears thin).

Hello! As you guys might notice, I haven't posted last week's update. Sorry for that as I am on vacation
Overall good update! Wondering here when will the new navigation gesture system made a comeback?

I expected this funtion works as on Android 10, but not. It seems that doesn't work. Because when i try to let GG Map run in background, no other icon on status bar except GPS icon.

My banking still work as normal with CTS failed, so i don't need to flash Persist.

I think I'll skip this one and stay with last week's build. As far as I understood in order to have Netflix Hd I need to flash persist.img and if I do that It will probably mess with my bank app and NFC...

I don't use Netflix. Btw, Mi 8 only has L3, so we can flash persist wihout loosing anything.

How can you have Netflix HD with L3 on dipper?

Flashing persist.img or using additional magisk module is not required to CTS valid. It looks that it was Google issue. I didn't do anything after upgrade to 20.3.12 (mi8) and CTS fixed itself

Hello bro, thank you very much for your review. Very detail and helpful.
There is one thing I concern, that is the laggy issue. Does this build fix that issue?
I had it very bad experience on the update 20.3.5 and I had to roll back to 20.2.27. I believe there are many bros have the same issue.

EDIT: there's also a new option unnoticed: in Dark Mode options you can force every app to dark mode? I disabled it because it's a little buggy, at least with apps like a Facebook.

Hi, is anyone facing some issues with face unlock with this build? Mine isn't working and when I try to set up face unlock again, I get stuck to this screen.
