Known Issues (Weekly ROM)

I see no option to change pattern grid size. This prevents importing backup from other ROM.
4*4 should be added or maybe even more options

4x4 was never part of our ROM and is not part of any official ROM either. You are not even supposed to restore backups from other ROMs.

If you try to restore with Google one backup, in the settings you get "phone name" setup is in progress.
This restores apps and the settings if the OS level is minimal the same or higher.
However this backup is encrypted with the security which is used in the phone. In my case I had lineageOS on the Poco F3 and that rom gives you more pattern options. I understand that it's not default now after searching for a solution for over a day.
Would be nice if there is a option to make it a larger grid when needed. For me there is no other option to restore every so manual now.

My Redmi K50 Gaming, running 13.0.10.0.SLJCNXM Stable (Fastboot ROM), insists that a controller/gamepad is connected, while there isn't one. Some games like Asphalt 8 are simply unplayable because the game controls do not allow switching back to touch mode.
Is there a setting to disable it that I've overlooked, or is this a bug?

Mi 10T
Weekly update channel

Huawei health app goes to sleep even though it has "miui battery optimization" set to "don't optimize" and the app is locked in memory and has all permissions granted

Same for whatsapp, no matter what I do... Sometimes I don't receive new messages until I manually open the app

I'm having a weird issue, today Google photos started to show blank thumbnails for the photos taken this day. Up to now it worked fine.

WhatsApp shows the photos, gallery works fine, but Google photos hangs. Is there a way to fix this?

I think it's related to the pro mode or portrait mode photo I took today. I was exploring the camera features of 12s ultra today.

Same happened to me, Google Photos can't read some of the pictures taken and goes belly-up. I have blank thumbnails and no cloud backup for 3 days now, because I took one photo in night mode. It only works if you don't touch any of the settings.

Last month I took a photo in pro mode to play around with the depth of field, and it did the same. Wouldn't start syncing until I deleted that photo, which is really annoying.

I wonder if there's a way to fix it, but it's not related to the EU ROM.

Xiaomi 12 on the latest MIUI 14 stable - seeing lots of
Abort: Device alarmtimer.0.auto failed to suspend: error -16
and
Abort: Pending Wakeup Sources: [timerfd]
errors in battery historian, also very poor battery life for some reason, can't figure out why through battery historian.

notifications from whatsapp either delayed by 1-2 minutes or not arriving at all.
tried countless times to factory reset...
whatsapp no restrictions & auto start didnt help...
at first it seems like its working but eventually some messages wont arrive.. i saw im not the only one with this issue... please fix...
poco f3 xiaomi.eu v14.0.4 also happens on V14.0.23.2.6.DEV
on xiaomi eu v13 there is no problems at all!

EDIT: most noticeable with the screen locked

Flawless on my Poco F3 with same builds as yours.

Same issue on Poco F3 V14.0.4.
All Xiaomi fixes for locking app, autostart, permissions and notification setup are in place.
But notifications remain unreliable.

i dont know how it possible that its working for you and not for me and alot of other users...
please try sending yourself WhatsApp messages from another phone, clear memory from recent screen turn off screen wait 1 minute and send a message, if that message notification do appear wait for the screen to turn off again and send another message, and overall do some testing and at some point youll stop should stop receiving notifications... even when you set no restrictions on battery optimizations, auto start on, unrestricted data, allowing all permissions, installed update from apkmirror, nothing works.
I've literally formatted the phone 10+ times on miui 14.0.4 stable, sent myself hundreds of messages, and even tried only installing WhatsApp and always encountered this issue...
on xiaomi.eu 13.0.9 stable it worked perfectly. even tried installing it again and it did work.
I did most of my testing on the stable build but when i tried the dev build 1 time this issue was also happening...

EDIT : JUST TESTED WEEKLY AND THERE IS NOTIFICATIONS ISSUE AS WELL 1000%

Yeah see also:

yeah the notifications issue seems to be happening across models and roms too
it happens on my f3 with v13 & v14 after a clean flash and only whatsapp installed
also happens on my redmi note 9s with xiaomi eu v13
strangely enough also happens on my f3 using linageos rom...
many people online complain about this issue, i tried every solution but it seems like there is none...
on my moms galaxy a52 there are 0 issues with whatsapp notifications...

steps to reproduce are:
connect to wifi (and turn mobile data off for testing purposes but it also happens with it on)
restart phone
unlock screen wait a couple of seconds then lock it
from a different phone send yourself a whatsapp message
you probably will receive that notification
unlock the phone and tap on the whatsapp notification to enter the chat
then go to home screen
open recent apps and tap on the "X" button to close all apps
turn off screen and wait for 5 minutes without using your phone (better wait 5:10 to be sure)
now send yourself a message from another phone and the notifications should arrive late and if youll turn on the screen itll arrive as soon as you turn it on...

i know its probably not a xiaomi eu issue but more of xiaomi issue in general but if the talented xiaomi eu team could fix it that would be so amazing

EDIT : ill be glad to send adb logs if that can help

[x] Contacts: Call recordings for numbers starting with "+" or "*" are not found by the app.
Hi,
is this the same problem that call recordings are not accessible from the dialer log?
On 3 phones with the latest stable, I cannot access it from the dialer log app.

Looks like it is the same bug but interesting, I tried to take a log but when I plugged the phone into USB with USB debugging on, the recording appears in the call log for the numbers w/o +/*.
So I decided to install logcat app to get the logs but guess what? Again when running the logcat app the recording appears in the phone's dial history.
Very odd...

Since I cannot reproduce this on cupid, perhaps on nuwa it's going to "sleep" and thus not showing. I wouldn't know, NFC works vastly differently on nuwa, even that new NFC screen is limited to very few devices.
