Just out of curiosity, what would you like to change or add to the MIUI rom? I'm not talking only high priority or technical stuff, but also day by day functions or minor changes that you think will make your life easier/better.

I'll start:
- Have the option to choose the icons backgrounds in the launcher.
- Include the italian language in the stock keyboard.
- Possibility to disable keyboards in the settings (this will make installing swype so much easier).
- Option menu when rebooting to select reboot into recovery.

Now that I think about it, there isn't much that I would change or add to miui. It is just so perfect!
One thing that I would like to see in the future is to be able to move icons to another screen even though it is full of icons. Oh, and on that topic, i would like to be able to create a folder by dropping an icon on top of another (a little iphony but still cool).

If I could add anything:

Landscape homescreen

MIUI Calendar/Notes/Calculator/Email etc. (Ooo! MIUI Shop? Android Market gets boring.)

I think that's it. Other than that, MIUI is wonderful.

I almost hate to add to this thread, but I'm already here so...

+1 for landscape homescreen
Ability to sort apps across homescreens (alphabetical, most used, size, etc.)

Scrolling widgets would be a big one.
I like the launcher gestures on some launchers. Swipe down for the notification tray to come down (none have this, but just swipe up to get rid of the notification tray would be big)
I like the CM7 lock screen gestures. They are really useful.
Folders should be better. The X is hard to hit and annoying. Going to a different page should close it as should perhaps a drag of the top bar of the folder.
The list goes on. come on guys think crtically :)

Its a great rom as is but...

*More miui apps :D they are so good. Miui weather doesn't work in Australia yet :(
*support for devices, targeting tablets might be a good idea
*more reboot options like mentioned.
*nice ui touches from gingerbread, custom overscroll colours, and maybe even custom screen off animations.

More or less fully pleased overall. I do think the new notices/toggles/apps screen in 2.3 could use a little more polish though. Would also be nice if Theme Manager could offer some deeper customization, no big deal really though.

I'm assuming this thread is in regards to the Gingerbread builds?

-Enter to send SMS/MMS on stock messaging app
-Auto-split SMS/MMS messages that go over 160 characters on EVO
-When the MIUI lockscreen comes back, please have the clock match the system clock style (I use the 12-hour format, but the latest Froyo lockscreen uses the 24-hour format with no option to change it)
-MIUI Weather use network location when GPS is not on (actually, for me the GPS location in MIUI Weather doesn't work at all)

Oh I just though of something else that could be added!
I am to very sure if it is going to be added in the new notification bar they are making, but it would be nice to have music control in the notification bar (much like one of the new sony phones) when music is playing. But if this is going to lag the hell out of my N1, then nevermind.

+1 for the miui apps! They are releasing a notes app this week :D

And maybe a new version of theme downloader where people can upload their themes, rate themes and comment, notification for theme updates etc. and a better ui if possible.

A very important thing for me is the battery life.
I use Miui for a couple of months now (and i'm very satisfied!), but i noticed the battery life in the beginning was much better.
My battery lasted for 48 hours.
But then, since approximately one month, battery life started decreasing and now it lasts only 24-30 hours.

I also would love to see more Miui apps, they are great!

Automatic brightness needs some improvements I think.

I also would like to see a sort of integration of SetCPU in the Rom/kernel. I don't think it's logic that the user himself has to decide at which speed the CPU has to run. If I don't use SetCPU, my battery life is much worse. So the app is quite necessary for quality of your phone.

Just my 2 cents :)

48h!? Wow, which phone are you using? And could share your setcpu settings? I would love some extra battery life too.

I think a landscape home screen along with custom icon choices as well as being able to scroll them .. as you can on GO launcher. A gingerbread keyboard with swype capabilities also maybe some arrows. Being able to change fonts without changing the theme. :)

Holy s**t, I would be love to get the 24-30 hours you are getting!! I barely get 12-15 hours a day (which in itself is an improvement, I started with 4-6 hours and got a bit more juice after a battery stats wipe).

Anyways, +1 for more MIUI apps. They are so well polished :D. Looking for a better calendar/notepad/fully working cam

Add option for SMS notifications to vibrate/ring. Its already there for phone calls only

Have you tried to slide "Edit theme settings" to ON in the theme manager? It allows you to mix and match themes from your phone or from the online MIUI database. Also it allows to change fonts without changing the entire theme.

I have a nexus one. I have a SetCPU profile for "screen off" then min and max are 384Mhz.

Does battery stats wipe actually improve the performance? By this, I assume you mean battery wipe on the Recovery...

how about 2 separate buttons for shuffle and repeat for miui music (i think it makes things easier)
and the option to remove the slider on top of the icon tray (i dont usually use it and when i do, it is because i misclicked)
make the miui file explorer not go back up to the top of the list when we go back (gets annoying)
hmmmm +1 for the landscape home (how about some transition effect when rotating as well :p)

Some things I thought of while laying here, thinking about MIUI:
Widget Update Pack + Social widgets (Orchis theme...don't remember if I said that already :p)
True multitasking (I'd like to see a sort-of "card swiping" interface, much like multifl0w for that-phone-which-shall-not-be-named.)
"Cleaner" screen overview interface
New dock
Better account managing for Contacts app (I'd love the ability to hide/show accounts, like in Sense)
Oh yeah, and a folder update - if I miss putting an app in a folder, I have to move all the other folders back in their original position, and I don't like that hassle lol
Instead of "Theme downloader" and things like that, I think there should be a "MIUI Shop" For things such as themes, widgets, fonts, applications, ROM updates, and things in that nature.

Really, these things are more like icing to the cake that is MIUI - mostly wants, not needs. MIUI is great, and I can't ever switch to another rom after this one. Great work guys.
